Guys, a few questions. Does that still works with the newest android auto update? Also, is this possible with the wireless connection or cable only? And finally, this is for VW cars ONLY or we can use it with any car using a OBD2 dongle? I have a Hyundai, I was wondering if it would work with the dongle as the OP says it works with the dongle, but I'm not sure if the car still needs to be VW...

For me, the app is working for around 2 minutes.

After this delay Android auto is lagging a lot and it ends with a headunit crash (reboot).

After the reboot, no more lag but performance monitor can't see any data anymore.

Don't know if it can be solved. I'm on MIB2.

Sad to see this kind of things isn't supported today

I started working on it again, but google rejected my submission from the Play store... It's a lot of work to support the users (who can sometimes be loud and very unfriendly) when there's no single official channel where I can share the app and gather feedback... And maybe monetize it in some way. But frankly, the personal cost of maintaining it in my free time is too high to keep going on.

Yes you can. You will not get the Vag specific data but with TorqueBHP app, you can get data from OBD

Thank's for your feedback.

We know this work is time consuming. And with the recent news about Android auto, maybe OBD apps will pop up in a near future.
Of course if it's the cases, those apps will not be as efficient as vag performance but we totally understand that you don't want to do that anymore.

I'm using it right now with AAAD app and works like a charm. I think it's a good start for people who doesn't want to root their phones. Also I can confirm to you the VAG Performance Monitor reads more data than SPORT HMI itself (I recently patched my MIB STD2).

I've been trying to use your app after learning about it from AAAD, but sadly it's not working on my Audi A5 (B9) model here in the US. I'm guessing the MIB2 version is not compatible?

What is not working? I mean, does the icon appear in AA menu? If it's not check the AAAD thread, it's been discussed there.

If the readings doesn't work make sure you installed the VEX Vag service from AAAD before instaling VPM. It won't work if you install it directly.

Hi. I can not make this app to read the odb2 data coming from a vLinker. Torque is installed and can read the data from obd2 like a charme. On the car display, instead, I can see the various dashboard as configured in the app, but all indicator are not receiving data from the odb2. The car is a Citroën C5 aircross. Thanks for help. I did install it directly from AAAD initially, and included the other add-on plugin that's required. It didn't work, so I uninstalled it. Can't reinstall using AAAD until the trial period resets, though I understand ADB commands will work to install it the 'correct' way.

That is very interesting and curious. I have a Skoda Scala and it does not work. I thought it would never work because the infotainment is MIB3 as it says in the firmware information. Could you provide your Bolero firmware information?

Well with the AA update it's not working for me now so it could be the problem.

On the other hand , it would be nice if @Chillout includes a full scale modifier for the clocks (for example set the full scale of the turbo to 1.2). Also to include a power meter via calculations (Power=Torque*RPM), but I don't remember if he said it wasn't possible to do that.
