Question Personal VPN with Work profile

Hi all,
I'm using the app Shelter which creates a work profile to compartmentalize the use of some apps.

I my personal profile i have a always on VPN and I'd like to have the work profile to make use of that VPN also.
I use OpenVPN for Android (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.blinkt.openvpn/).
At the moment, only apps from personal profile go through the VPN, apps into the Work profile don't.
Is there some option that I'm missing?

My last resort is to create another VPN into the Work profile but it would be devastating for the battery to have a second VPN.

A VPN client's battery consumption on Android is fairly around 10-15% depending on how much internet data you are using and a few other factors such as:

• The level of encryption used by the VPN service
• How strong the cellular signal is
• Whether the VPN app runs in the background constantly

Take note that there basically can be only one VPN connection running at the same time unless the installed VPN clients use different protocols ( i.e. SSL and/or IPSec ).
