I was bored with suggestions from Vivo that they have the best engineers in the world
I have bought OP 6t and I am happy with this,
but if someone put OP6t rom into Vivo Nex, will create the best phone in the world.

You don't have Nex S but A
Different hardware-differnet software imo.
Whole thread with dozens of topics we are talking about S version not A.

There's others mentioning lots of stuff in this thread. Wish people would actually list which device in their topics s or a which would make it less confusing. I've got a note 9 on the way and taking a hammer to this thing. There is no development for it at all as only a few of us were dumb enough to buy it. Great hardware but the software is complete crap. I wish you all the best of luck with yours.
Actually I had Note 9 for one week but didn’t keep it.
I don’t like Sammy software too many bloatware and gimmick and lacks software feature that Vivo has and also don’t used many feature their having(wireless charging,micro sd ,Wacom digitizer don’t use at all)
And I don’t like fingerprint scanner on the back at all.
If you want absolutely OS freedom OnePlus is the ultimate choice imo.
Oxygen is my best android skin so far and all the potential offer of customization and custom development support
Today gone receive my 6T from yesterday order I made.
Samsung will consider next year and S10 plus will come close to Vivo Nex from design and feature aspect like in display fingerprint sensor and truly bezeless phone.
Also triple camera is another motivation jump to S10 plus.

Why to connect vivo hardware with OP 6t software
VIVO - hardware
1) better battery (6 hours with audiobook takes 15% less than OP)
2) screen without notch, small notch on the OP 6t is always notch and full screen apps do not use 5 mm screen strip ,
3) 3.5 mm headphones
4) volum buttons on the right edge
5) better fast charging
OP 6t - software
1) friendly for 3-rd party apps
2) exchange system apps (dialer, messenger)
3) easy bootloader unlock
4) easy root
5) zero Chinese bloatware (I bought phone when only cheese version was on the market)

Aw man. I am looking to buy a new phone and found this to be perfect but as with every phone, I always check XDA and well, this is disappointing that Vivo are acting this way. I'd love to compile ROMs for this wonderful device but that would just be a dream...
This is an older update. There are a couple more after this one.
I dont see this happening....sadly...i will have to sell my vivo nex, i chose android over ios for reason's like this, i want to have full control over my device.

I started the petition and kept bugging Vivo... However, they only ignore me. I have since sold my Nex S on eBay and now rocking the Mi Mix 3.
