So I want a person you is ready to play with his phone (test on his phone ,can get a brick)

If yes contact me in telegram @KumarAyush2104

And if you think by signing petition you will get kernel sources then better sell this and buy a new one, cause vivo don't even give a ****.

And GPL is not enforced in China!!
The petition was only to show the number of people wanting to the source code. I know China doesn't follow any laws or regulations outside their country. I sold my worthless Vivo a while back. Good luck getting someone to brick their device.

Worthless too you yes. Not all people are into rooting and custom roms. Custom roms become more intersting when the manufacture stop realsing new updates. such as Nexus 6P I will put Lineage os on it now I have decided... since google have stop released updates. As For Nex I think there is still atleast 1.5 years of updates and hopefully more. Vivo have done a good job with updates so far...better so then other bigger manufactures like samsung and others. They just need to make sure to keep their promise to release their PIE update before end of December.

I get bored with a device that I cannot root... Haha. The Xiaomi mi mix 3 is serving me well. Im actually porting LineageOS right now. I plan to Port Sailfish OS as soon as the mer-hybris has been patched for Android 9.

Does LineAge OS release updates frequently for the Mi mix 3 ? What would be the benefit over the manufacturer software? I've had a custom rom for my s7 and kinda wanna go back to the stock look.

LineageOS does not support the Mi Mix 3 at all currently because the kernel source was released a few days ago. The benefit of a custom ROM is you get updates a lot quicker (i.e. nightly, weekly, etc...). Custom ROMs can also have a lot of tweaking/customization settings which you dont typically have in OEM ROMs.

Do you have to flash the os from the beginning to get the updates or you can just update without losing data/apps that you have installed?

Worthless in contrast to other phones. In about a year or two this device will be obsolete in terms of software, and what's going to happen then? Are people going to start signing petitions to get updates? The reason people buy these flagships is so they last. If they want something smooth that lasts two years they might as well have bought an android one. It's not about how many hours you get on battery or anything, it's about spending your money where you get the most out of it.
You won't do that in this device with this price point.

So lets talk about it in 2 years, I mean now it is fast, it lasts...you want to tinker with a phone to make it faster, last longer, this and that...but now you don't need that with this phone, it isnalreqdy performang about as good as it gets..that is what I am saying -> talking about the global version of course.

You can customize it all you want with different launchers...

Also I doubt anyone who is messing around with root keeps the same phone for 2 years, usually these guys want the latest out there...

Flagships -> this cost me 500 something Euros on GearBest, Samsung and the rest would have cost me about 300 Euros more (but for LG G7)

So the fact that you dont have open bootloader or sourcecode for the global version of this awesome phone, IN MY OPINION, should not be a big deal...as it already performas great/outperforms other flagships (battery life/sot as an example...this problem seems a bit like a false pretense to me, thats all
