[Petition] Unlock the bootloader for the Asus TF300

Hello ASUS brothers and sisters,

I'm sorry to be invading your forums again , but we 300 Pad owners would appreciate if you would help us by signing a petition for unlocking our bootloader, just like you guys got for the Prime.

Let's push for NVFLASH first.

This won't hurt to try. At least it'll let them know 300 owners are concerned with having unlocked bootloader also. But there is no proof the original petition worked for Prime. According to Asus, they had planned to unlock Prime well before petition or any talk of it was made. There's alot of legalities involved in unlocking bootloader. This is why it took a while for it to release. It isn't as simple as them just saying OK, then unlocking it for everyone. They have to cover themselves, legally, from any fraudulent warranty claims resulting from unlocking. There are alot of people who brick their device from trying out stuff and try to make warranty claims on it. Although Asus completely unlocking devices, by adding NV flash would let people who Brick their device, get it back working again. So once 300 unlocked bootloader tool does release, whenever it does, expect it to be on same conditions as prime as to where it voids your factory warranty. The tool will take your serial number and send it to Asus to put on a blacklist for people who unlocked and warranty voided now. There are also flags put onto your prime which, if prime is sent in, they will still be able to tell you unlocked, aside from serial number.

Thanks for the thought. I knew that would happen which is why didn't post there and a lot of others places to begin with. Maybe the MOD can help get XDA to promote it. (wishful thinking)
