Thats weird. I just put file on root of pendrive, put it in black usb port, replug power cord, turn on tv via remote and it started to 'upgrade' to older firmware.Hey guys!
Ran into some issues with my 50PUS7394 after the latest firmware upgrade (TPM191E _ 101.002.098.000 – Date: 2021/07/30).
When using DTS with my XBOX One, the sound now stutters and clips all the time. Haven't had this problem with the previous firmware. Alas, I am forced to use DTS with my XBOX, as any Dolby Digital option presents me with a considerable sound delay.
Now I was hoping to downgrade the firmware with the help of toengel's site. I downloaded the appropriate firmware file (TPM191E _ 101.002.022.002 – Date: 2021/05/14 (Upgrade_Loader) and followed the instructions to the letter: I'm using an USB 2.0 pendrive formatted it with 64kb allocation and put the upgrade_loader.pkg in the root directory, killed the power and restarted it with the USB attached. The TV simply starts, without doing the update process (I've tried both USB ports).
What am I missing?
I've also tried to enter the recovery mode by holding the hardware-joystick down, and initiate the update process from there, but the only thing this does is erase and factory-reset. I was not able to enter the recovery with this method, and right now I don't have a male-male USB cable to try with adb.
Any suggestions how to proceed are greatly appreciated!
If I'm not mistaken, it can only be installed from Android 9 onwards.
why do you want the Google TV Launcher instead of the Andriod TV launcher? I think it's worse especially if you use plex or any other local sources. They won't be shown on the start screen anymore. Only Google vetted online streaming services.
Only thing that I want is to have normal looking launcher without missing icons, thumbnails and recommendations that are working
