I have the last philz kernel and i detect two things,

First Batery; The bateri was a little buggie some time the charge allowme work fine all day and another times inly half day, Now with the new kernel i be fine by all day and i use mail, facebook, ip telephony and another options by my work.

2.- Speed, my phone run very smoot and fast.

By the way i never made a backup from applications and configurations i always made a clean install,

agreed zai's statement is over- expansive and misleading

i never needed to pull out my battery , if the screen is stuck (very rarely) i go into recovery with 3 buttons and manipulate my way into the rom from there.

i remember i got stuck on samsung logo after i flashed 12 out of 15 lsc mods xperiacle had published for different UI changes, one on top of the other

in quick succession- i really pushed it there :silly:

i was stable on pure stock LM5 for a week....now on eybee's LSZ...no problems yet

No this kernel (or the new ROM) must have a problem.
Seems to have messed with your keyboard or the touch interface. :D

Haha...sorry my English is not so good and can't be my sword to defense my self... ya, 80% is to much if you count all N7000 user around the world:p

But if you only count all N7000 user on xda forum that using TW JB rom stock or not..80% is quite reasonable..cause I can see bootloop bug is reported on almost every TW JB (leak & official) rom..

BTW sorry if this is OT.:)

Hi,

Just out of curiosity. How did you found that rooting with LM5 works for the last official update? Just trying one after another? What happened for those that didn't work?
I always wanted to know what would happen if I root with a file different of my ROM.

Best regards,

99 % won't give you error if you flash different version kernel for different ROM (OS should same like ICS/JB)
flashing wrong philz kernel is 10000 time safer than wiping on stock kernel. maximum you will need is reflash kernel, it won't brick device.

AW: [12.02.2013][PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] v4.35 Safe Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root-ZSLM5

I tried philz kernel that I used for 4.0.4. That didn't work. The phone won't start. But I tried the full 4.1 image with mobile Odin and selected root and mobile Odin injection. That works. But I will setup the phone from start when Phil's kernel for 4.1 is out.

OK... I had a problem with bootloops on UBLS5 SVA rom, many times, but after a PROPER INSTALLATION of new stock LSZ rom with PC Odin, with FACTORY RESET and FORMAT INTERNAL MEMORY, without data or apps restore, I don't have any bootloops anymore! And I tried both options (removed the battery when the phone is running, complete discharge of the battery).
I think this problem has something to do with corrupted data, because restoring saved rom data in recovery, solved this problem.

If you don't remove all those colors I will be forced to hit myself in the head with my large cellphone.

That's easy. Try to take a picture of the moon with one hand (ignore the fact that it will look terribly awful). Thank God I had the soft jelly case on the phone, otherwise my girlfriend would have gotten a few bruises.

Waiting for Phil to release the XXLSZ kernel. Until then, no TW JB for me. :)

I don't really want to see the stock kernel, just rooted. I want safety :) and since there's no one to guarantee that...
You are right no one can guarantee safety but as I understand it the stock kernel (jb) checks for the insane chip and does not trigger a secure erase if it finds it. This should make it safe. Unfortunately Samsung does not provide documentation.

Sorry, I stick to 4.35 or you could never see an LSZ... :D

Because of time, all phones will stick to 4.35 until I have something stable and a bit finished
i9100 gets newest betas just because I have only an i9100 and it's what I compile for my tests

So, on new kernels, I throw them a stable beta/work in progress like 4.53

I am on the touch UI, rewriting it all again, like when moving from 2.x to 3.0, so do not worry about the lack of updates,I am just busy working on it
