[PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root+exFAT+NTFS-LTA

Wired, I did nothing after flashing the stock rom but flashing LM5 kernel last night, even no user app!!! But today after flashing new kernel LSZ phone stuck at the Samsung logo!

:good: flashed this new phils xxlsz kernel in recovery and updated the philsLM5 kernel that im using w/ my Stock XXLSZ,,no bootloop,while note is still on i removed the battery,then insert it and restart,got stock for few second on gt n7000 logo,so..i removed the battery again and put it bac and again restart..now it boot up normally,to satisfy myself,..again i removed the battery while powered on,re insert battery back,.restart,again it boot up normally,w/out glitch..thanks phil,..:highfive:

did you try force reboot such as pulling out the battery?

No matter what I try get stuck at n7000. Even full wipe clean up option and reflash through PC Odin of rom and then kernel though stock recovery.... but can always get back to philz recovery... if I then reflash stock kernel fixes issue..
And it is not a bad download
Anyone else having this?

I had the same problem here. (I live in China), so i called my mobile shop--they are quite advanced in finding strange ways around a problem.
They said, it is a problem with the new bootloader. It will 100% go away, if you flash the new stock rom with PC ODIN about 3 times in a row.
They tried to figure out what happens, they promised me to give me some more details next week. At the moment they only know this method works. Many of their customers called with this problem and ALL of them could solve it that way.
However, I did so. And surprise, all works fine and smooth, I enjoy now a very fast boot process.

BTW, as I said, I live in China, i wonder if it may be possible that s.o. give me another download link for the kernel, as I do not have access to mediafire ( i tried it through my VPN, but the response from mediafire is so slowly that I get always timed out).

I know it sounds strange ( see my post "hanger at Sam Logo") but when I called my Service Tech Guy in China, he mentioned this problem also.
He said: quote:"after flashing the ROM you MUST restart your phone at least two times before rooting or flashing other kernels, otherwise you lose the USER apps and the CSC specific bload ware"
He also recommends (again see my other post) to flash the ROM at least three times." unquote
Again it is all strange, but it worked here. I was suspicious and ask for names and telephone numbers of others here in Chengdu in order to verify his strange advise. I called 5 of his customers, they all confirmed it worked.
It also worked for me b.t.w.
So it is up to you. To do it or not. I think its worth to give it a try.

I am on XXLSZ stock odex installed with PC odin.. then i tried to root using exynosabuse.apk and was not able to root.. (then i read that its patched into the bootloader)
So i install XXLSC kernel on to it .. booted up the phone and used the apk again and voila.. its rooted...

So is it the kernel that has been patched and not the boot loader?

It's just that exynos bug was fixed on later kernels so they are no more vulnerable and thus, you cannot root them using the app

• fix user background image was not restored on restart
• TWRP backup and restore support, include full md5 sum support (single and multivolume, compressed and non compressed formats)
• support multiple efs backups in tar format (user request)
• now it is possible to restore from many modem.bin files under clockworkmod/custom_backup/.modem_bin folder to flash them (just name them *.bin)
• fix potential md5 error caused when restoring/flashing some modem.bin files
• fix recovery partition was restored when ever you restore something in stock Advanced Restore Menu
• custom restore option to browse from /sdcard/0 if it exists (this is a temporary workaround for Android 4.2)
• add ext4 support for mounting external storage (i9300 thread request)
• friendly log mode now is final: logs are no more wiped when switching view for all operations (install zip, boot scripts, backup/restore...)
• enhance logging and user messages mainly in backup/restore operations
• remove useless support for browsable custom aromafm.zip folders (must be in default folder)
• Clean Phone for a New ROM moved to Custom Backup and Restore
• preview support for slide right and double tap gesture actions
• fix: virtual keys will no more trigger an action at end of your scrolling if touched by case
• fix: virtual keys could remain highlighted under some circumstances
• fix screen capture index was back to 11 when it reached 100 (now it will be 999 photos and reverts to 001)
• fix: toggle background icon prompted for a key since v4.53
• fix: when toggle icon, screen logs are no more wiped
• fix: when change menu size, screen logs no more wiped
• deep revise of touch source to optimize and clean code (scrolling behavior is still same, this will be the next on my todo list)
• many bugfixes + compiler warnings fix in code

Until the bootloops issues on TW JB are fixed... + the lags and missing features due to CSC (what the flying f***?)... I'm back on CM10.1. Dissapointed @ Samsuck.
