Happens sometimes broWired, I did nothing after flashing the stock rom but flashing LM5 kernel last night, even no user app!!! But today after flashing new kernel LSZ phone stuck at the Samsung logo!
I had the same problem here. (I live in China), so i called my mobile shop--they are quite advanced in finding strange ways around a problem. No matter what I try get stuck at n7000. Even full wipe clean up option and reflash through PC Odin of rom and then kernel though stock recovery.... but can always get back to philz recovery... if I then reflash stock kernel fixes issue..
And it is not a bad download
Anyone else having this?
Please don't reply with "did you do this"...yes I did everything
Happy to do anything necessary to help troubleshoot ....
I know it sounds strange ( see my post "hanger at Sam Logo") but when I called my Service Tech Guy in China, he mentioned this problem also. You got your answer buddy... He has tried the same n its fine..
Happens sometimes bro

Oh? So it's a problem with the new bootloader? Hopefully we're gonna get an updated, fixed version!I had the same problem here. (I live in China), so i called my mobile shop--they are quite advanced in finding strange ways around a problem.
They said, it is a problem with the new bootloader. It will 100% go away, if you flash the new stock rom with PC ODIN about 3 times in a row.
They tried to figure out what happens, they promised me to give me some more details next week. At the moment they only know this method works. Many of their customers called with this problem and ALL of them could solve it that way.
However, I did so. And surprise, all works fine and smooth, I enjoy now a very fast boot process.
BTW, as I said, I live in China, i wonder if it may be possible that s.o. give me another download link for the kernel, as I do not have access to mediafire ( i tried it through my VPN, but the response from mediafire is so slowly that I get always timed out).
thanks in advance and greetings from SiChuan, China (PS: I am on LSZ..dbt)

XXLSZ? Check your PMHi community,
really sorry to bother you here with this: I wonder if it may be possible that s.o. could give me another download link for the Kernel.
I have no access to media fire, even not through my VPN (get timed out...simply too slowly).
I can download from any FTP or Cloud service like box, dropbox (would be the easiest, could just transfer it to my dropbox), sky drive etc......
TIA

It's just that exynos bug was fixed on later kernels so they are no more vulnerable and thus, you cannot root them using the appOk... Here is something really interesting... I did read it some where but couldnot find it myself.. so i tried it...
I am on XXLSZ stock odex installed with PC odin.. then i tried to root using exynosabuse.apk and was not able to root.. (then i read that its patched into the bootloader)
So i install XXLSC kernel on to it .. booted up the phone and used the apk again and voila.. its rooted...
So is it the kernel that has been patched and not the boot loader?

I don't always press the thanks button... but when I do, I make sure I'm from Tapatalk. F***ing 8-thanks-per-day XDA limit.Seeing all the thanks in a little time, on each new kernel, this thread is always one of my best places to add my contribution
