Re: [21.02.2013][PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] v4.63 Safe Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root+exFAT+ext4-LSZ

Yesterday i flash latest lsz kernel. Last night when i use otg and card reader and copy a file to my sdcard, suddenly its reboot and I'm stuck at boot. Wipe case, doesn't help. Trying flash using odin, doesn't help either. Than i wipe using stock recovery (well i hope this jb stock kernel is safe for wipe), i can boot to system.
I don't know is it because philz kernel or rom bug.

Possible typo in Post #2

Under 'Aroma File Manager Support' do you mean 'In recovery, tap Aroma File Manager' instead of 'In recovery, tap the ORS Menu'?
Because the former worked and the latter didn't, and it makes sense.

I need to know which is the last jb kernel that did not give bootloops for that

Both work if you put the right files in right folder
Read post 2 to see how it works
Since v4.53, aromafm.zip file must be in default folder though, you can no more browse for it as it removes the real usefulness. I will also add it soon to the gesture actions shortcuts

Re: [21.02.2013][PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] v4.63 Safe Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root+exFAT+ext4-LSZ

Hi, when I back up the rom it takes about 5, 6 minutes but when I delete just within one second it is deleted. How come? Is it clean delete? Or files /folders are left over.
Another thing if I want to save the back up in a pen drive, how to do? Thanks.

dont restore user apps, its always best to re download them, and yes it is a pain in the rear but lets face it, its not as hard as coal mining is it.

@phil3759: Hi, as you know n7000 is plagued by black clipping. Now, seems to be a solution discovered by andreilux (in his perseus for s3 and note 2) for tweak the gamma.
Could you get in touch with him and try to do our own fix and implement it in philz kernel?
thanks

So... a .tar with the new bootloader and CM10.1 instead of a stock TW ROM? How could that be more efficient? It's the same bootloader. Or is it a newer, maybe fixed, build?
the stress is not on the rom but the tar format - more effective as i had said

The last JB kernel that don't have bootloop is XLS2 4.1.1..I'm sure..

I'm sure about LS2.. cause I always revert back to LS2 after suffering bootloop on newer leak..give me some minutes, will flash LS7 and report back...

i havent had the conventional 'bootloops' as such in a very very long time.

i agree about ls2 - was a good stable release but it didnt have multiwindow

ls7 was a very enjoyable experience for me ( the airview and ink effects of course came later)

for me it started for with lsa and lsc roms - my phone got stuck on N 7000 logo after flashing a mod in recovery, phone wouldnt boot back into the rom after flashing.

recently on lsz after changing my csc phone got stuck for a long time on the glowing samsung logo--- but the menu and back buttons flickered and i would wait .. and phone booted up. for me eybees lsz rom has been very stable. ive flashed more than 5 rom enhancments (mods) and things are going fine.

i havent flashed the bootloader separately but i did flash the lm5 stock with pc odin and I think im on JB bootloader.

basically the word bootloop may have many interpretations maybe for different users.....

You can use Triangle Away (app) to remove the triangle... But it's useless to remove it, unless you want to send phone to service for warranty. The triangle only shows that you tampered with Odin. No risk :)
