can u tell me what to download frm them and the installation process ?

thank you !
Your name says that you are an Indian, considering that, i assume that you are using DDLSC rom (India Official)
Download this and install in recovery.

Volume Up + Home key + Power on will take you to recovery mode.

Question, how do I know if the zip I'm downloading is the latest? I'm looking for PhilZ-cwm6-UBLR3-PSN-x.x-signed.zip, 2nd post says latest is 3.99 but I can only find 3.1?

What should I do if the device gets stuck in a bootloop?

And lastly, is it okay to format the SD card from the phone and then copy the .zip into it?

Any help is appreciated.

The dev has not built a new version for your ROM, just download a latest kernel and flash, its okay...
i was using DDLSC kernel in XXLSZ ROM.
I had no issues with it.

99% You dont end up in boot loop, coz i didnt end up there :p

However if you face bootloop, flash rom again.

2. Do not wipe data/reset phone from setting unless you are using safe kernel like Philz... some people say they wiped with out safe kernel and their phone is fine.
if you can bear risk, you can go ahead.
i suggest you to wipe data after flashing safe kernels

Just one question, normal nandroid takes around 1 gbyte, Philz takes around 3 gbyte, why is that so?
I saw that there are many things to change for nandroid.
Can anyone tell me how to do the normal backup?

AromaFM

I asked before (can't find my post), but no answer.
I can not open System/app in AromaFM - phone stack in AromaFM. Only reboot helps. Others folders is ok.
ROM LT5 stock odex with latest Philz kernel. But same problem was on different ROMs and Philz kernels.
Where can be a problem?

I want to root so that I can install my apps (from i9000) using titanium backup and also freeze some of the stock items, I hope if I just root and continue using stock ROM it would be OK and not create any problem.

Please confirm that flashing this kernel (which will also root) on stock ROM and using stock ROM only will not create any problems.

Thanks
