You will get that if you flash anything else other than stock Roms.
Look for triangle away app and check what it has for you in store.

Could you clarify that? You don't get the triangle on custom ROMs too when you flash PhilZ kernels, unless I'm misunderstanding what you said.

Depends on how they were flashed. Anything that's flashed via Odin and not made/signed by Samsung, will increase the binary counter and give you the yellow triangle. It can be reset easily with TriangleAway app. If you flash Custom Roms and PhilZ via recovery, then you won't increase your binary counter.

To add.. custom roms are flash using recovery and not Odin.. so it will not increase the counter.

whoru007;45581409which version to FLASH. Baseband version: N7000[B said:
WELSA[/B]
Build number

Instruction what kernel to use - post #2
Links to all available kernels is in post #3 of this thread.
Baseband - modem variant (not aplicable)
You should look to Build number - UBLSF

I recommend to use:
- signed.zip recovery type, because you may flash it via stock recovery and get CWM+root
- .tar.md5 file is flashing via ODIN. root should be installed additionally.
- 5.08.5-signed.zip recovery version, because HOT-reboot broken in latest v5.11.2-signed.zip kernel.
Generally speaking, you may use all of kernels located in this folder: http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=20658#files
Exclude PhilZ-cwm6-CM-10.1-n7000-5.08.5.zip, because it for CM ROMs.

Thanks @cheyenne

I have used PhilZ-cwm6-ZCLSF-CHN-5.08.5-signed.zip since that's the closest to XXLSF I can get (just to be on safe side) and it works like a charm.

Hi Phil,

I have an N7000 with a replaced display. It works just fine with a Gingerbread ROM I had on the device, but when I flash your kernel, the display turns purple after boot. It shows the logo properly for a while, then goes purple and stays that way.

I have tried the 240dpi ROM and it works well, but the display has this purple colour the whole time. Flash a GB kernel / ROM and it goes away.

Do you have any idea of what could be causing this and possibly some fix? I really want to run a custom Jelly Bean ROM with your kernel!

Thank you,

Oobly

Hi
I need a short help:

I hava a CM 10.1 nightly - The CWM disappeared cause there was a bug (Only black screen whan i try to boot in recovery).
Now i have to flash it again via odin3.

I Have Baseband version N7000XXLR1
Now: "Download xxx-signed.zip kernel matching your ROM"

What do i have to choose?
PhilZ-cwm6-CM-10.1-n7000-5.08.5.zip

right? :)

HMM i need a tar.md5 for odin. How do i get a tar.md5 from PhilZ-cwm6-CM-10.1-n7000-5.08.5.zip?
Downloaded an other tar.md5 file - deleted the internal zImage with Ark - copied my zImage from PhilZ-cwm6-CM-10.1-n7000-5.08.5 inside - should work right? ^^

You sure it was 10.1 &not 10.2. Because 10.2 had the bug.

If the ROM is booting up normally, you could use mobile Odin to flash the tar file kernel or PC Odin. You can use any JB kernel. The phone won't boot. Go into recovery and flash the newer version of rom.
