Depend on what version of rom you are. If you are on lt9, then correct. Still, if you just need recovery to install other rom then this one is also ok, regardless of your rom version.

Hi

Don't want to spam the thread with needless calls for help, but having soft-bricked my phone some 12 months ago, I thought it best to ask.

I'm running stock rom on gt-n700 as shown in the attached picture. Things are not going well, as I find myself uninstalling more and more apps to avoid 'insufficient storage' warnings when updating them. I've found Philz-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.11.2.signed.zip, but would like to confirm if this is the correct one which will root and install recovery so that I can then install a custom rom.

With many thanks...
Or if you just want to correct the insufficient storage issue install DiskUsage and erase stuff. Like lost+found

Thanks, guys!

Thanks one and all! Got the app, rooted the phone, and dealt with data/log! All going smoothly now, thanks.

Time to find a decent ROM - hopefully KitKat to match my i9000!

encountered errors.
holding a note1.
downloaded from goo.im n7000 kernel. both tar and zip.
tried mobile odin and stock recovery zip flash.
both returned the same error along the lines of - this is for galaxynote.note.n7000. this is a " ".
That space/undefined doesnt exactly help to troubleshoot. googled and xda-searched but found no solutions thus far can help?

using Stock JB rooted with dr.ketan's zip. trying to get a CWM kernel so as to backup my ROM for reflash in case i dont like new stuff. gonna try some ROMs only then.

@Phil3759

Just flashed mine (XXLT3) (I am using mokee ROM), latest recovery being flashed causes the iemi to be lost and not able to function as phone. BTW I love this backup when its working ie on my p5110 with CM11 is brilliant.

Had to reflash the latest mokee nightly to get phone functioning again.

Advice appreciated, Shalom John

Hi @jomar_uk,

Yes, @Phil3759 is aware of the radio issue, and is currently looking into this cause??

It was mentioned a page or so back, post: 3872.

As you have already found out, a simple re-flash of your current rom will fix things back again. Or better yet, just flash another kernel that supports KK such as RAW5 for the time being, until Phil has had chance to identify the cause...

Thanks, Lister

1) i have downloaded PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA . hope i can root my 4.1.2 using this file. After installing do i need to install SuperSU zip again. OR will thr be a integrated superSU along with Philz ?

2) if i wanted to flash Rw5 kernal (kitkat supported)
a),Is it Ok to wipe cach and dalvik ?
b) should i install other ROM before installing r5 kernal ?

No need to flash supersu
The rom you are on doesnot support that kernel.
You can install r5 then install a kk rom and install the kernel again..

1)If i install R5 and then Kitkat ROM ..shud i again install kernal ???
2) Before installing R5 kernal , Is it neccessery to wipe data and dalvin cache (i wud be in philz CMW with philz kerna with stock 4.1.2 roml) ? Is it safe wipe from there?

You will need to flash r5 again if you want to keep the kernel.. When you flash the new rom, it will replace the r5. So... Flash again.
Going from JB to KK.. Wipe everything and then flash the rom..
