I found ddlr9 kernel to be the best among hardcore and gavins. This cwm on stock kernel with no brick bug plus features is like icing on the cake. Thanks phil.

Thanks Phil.

Questions, please advise the best method to remove CWM Manager:

1/ By using the phone's Application Manager or ?
2/ Reflash the kernel again with Mobile Odin ?

BTW, can I reformat (fat32) the ext. card with Windows and then copy all my data & folders back to the phone from PC ? Will this solve the CWM Manager's issue?

------------------------------------------------------

Edit:
i removed CWM Mgr from the phone with Root Uninstaller. Lets put this matter to rest.
Thanks again.
You have also to remove /system/etc/init.d/philz... file

I am releasing when back to home an updated 1.1 script + uninstall script

just flashed XXLRT

first things first
in about phone i wish i could make out which kernel i am on
you know ...something like the name on the downloaded file , LRT or LR9
right now it looks so simillar to cf root kernel

i could get pretty confused since im always changing kernels
In terminal, type getprop
Will give you kernel details
This is stock kernel, 100% exept patched mmc_cap... So, phone about shows stock.

Thank you Phil3759 for your magnificent work, I have some questions for you:
1) can I install it on other kernel like cf-kernel or should I do some procedures to clean the kernel first?
2) can I restore data that I backup by cf-kernel on this kernel?
thank you

Yes, from cf-root, it is ok, both stock kernels. You can manually remove /system/cfroot and if you do not need it, /system/app/CWMManager.apk
Normally yes, if same kernel base

Triangle and reseting flash counter needs Triangle away application.

You can flash custom ROM with any safe kernel, just wipe cache and data before flashing custom ROM and post flashing follow instruction from instruction of respected custom ROM developer.
I am in Philz DDLR9 kernel with stock ics ddlr9 (flashed over the stock ddlr9 kernel)

shall i flash any other custom safe kernel (if needed) OVER this PhilZ-stock kernel (need wipe/cache & dalkin?)

then when i am in custom safe kernel (like hydracore) shall i flash this Philz-stock kernel (need wipe?) please advice

thanks in advance

When base is different it is recommended to wipe cache and delvic cache.
so yes. for stock to custom.
But no need if you flash philz kernel over stock kernel or vise a versa (even it must not be performed, when flash stock kernel over philz kernel (or any), b'coz stcok kernel is dangerous to perform wipe)

this kernel has completely stabilised my custom rom, no problems with rebooting as i had earlier, no problems with root or deep sleep,

i know results will be better with stock rom

thanks all who made this a reality :)

Little bad news for people that want to keep using CWMManager from CF
He did not allow redistribution of the app, which I can understand. I am sorry since I did not ask his permission before distribution.

I had to remove init.d attachment in post 2. Please do not ask here for any future support to CWMManager
Also, as opposed to what I said at page 1, do not use ROM Manager on the i9100. It can cause issues since Koush never made it fully compatible with the S2

I will try to add open script support for open source alternatives like goo manager, but no ETA

Please, do not comment this post and also you have to delete my update.zip file containing CWMManager if you downloaded it before. In any case do not redistribute it.

Meanwhile, nandroid backups in recovery work great. Also, CWMManager did not support the new incremental backups in CWM6 which can spare a lot of space
