Yes routey. But I thought it was the stock unrooted one.
Flash some mods.
I'm at workplace.

Problem with LSA reboot

Phil

I don't know weather this problem is unique to my phone or it has been reported by someone else.

It so happens that my phone doesn't hot-reboot with LSA. If I force a reboot, the phone gets stuck in the white Samsung logo.

I tried several Roms, from rooted stock, to others that have been implemented in the last few days. It forces me to do a reboot into recovery vía the three button method.

I carefully do all the required wipes and formats, even run your recovery cleaner, with same result. As i said, it only happens with LSA and your 3.71.

Any ideas?

TIA

Read somewhere it's due to Windows 8. Is that what you guys are running? I have windows 7x64 and can see all the files in my 16 GB extSdCard.

i have windows 7x32 , the MTP issue is inherent in the lsa rom, it affects the contents of the internal sd only for me.

I'm running Win7 x64 and I can't see all the files/folders in both int and ext SDcard when plugged via MTP. I also tried on Win 8 machine and Win7 x86... same result.

please confirm this is the correct rooting method/procedure

Recovery (.zip) packages instructions - Will also root your phone * recommanded method *
They come in the form of -signed.zip files that can be flashed in stock recovery 3e: No Yellow Triangle
  • Download xxx-signed.zip kernel matching your ROM
  • Put the previously downloaded xxx-signed.zip file on your external sd card
  • Boot into stock recovery (volume up+home+power)
  • Select "apply update from external storage".
  • Now select the xxx-signed.zip file you copied in previous step
  • You are rooted + new PhilZ-cwm6 kernel with CWM6
greetings! I'm so sorry if this was asked before or that this is obvious, but I just wanted to confirm on the procedure to root my note that I just bought, since I read other threads in this forum regarding unsafe kernels and 'do not wipe' when flashing, etc.
anyway, I am on the stock ICS rom (I think, haven't receive my phone yet);

anyway, if I do the above steps, will I get root? and kernel with CMW. and this kernel is safe I assume. Also, if I need to flash a custom rom, is it ok to do a full wipe if I keep this kernel?

thank you so much in advance!! I just want to be sure before I jump into the fire.

btw, I left out the odin method that was described as I thought this one looked much simpler.
