Don't flash Gapps

DO NOT FLASH GAPPS If you try flashing Google's apps, It pretty much breaks most functions. You can however, flash supersu without problems. That's all I did until I reverted to CM.

2hrs running smooth

Needs more work to put into, but anyway good concept. Some Chinese apps were on board, but I removed them so I don't remember what it was.
Works good. Pretty smooth. With some tweaking even better.
Idk about using it as daily. Will do some battery life tests and put some screenies, gapps are difficult to install=\

Hi guys,
is anyone able to convert the image to a multirom zip or maybe just backup an installed system via twrp and upload it somewhere?

And has anyone tried to install it on tilapia (nexus7 2012 3g)?

Thanks in advance!

Look at my previous post. Here are screens from tilapia. Runs pretty smooth. I'll try to convert it in flashable zip. It will be cleared from most of bloatware.
Skype doesn't work. Still haven't succeeded in installing play services.

Flashable zip is ready. Having some errs while flashing, will fix em and post

Update. Flashable zip is a bit tricky. Solving.

Just tried the TWRP backup and I have to say that I love phoenixos on my tiplapia with a bluetooth keyboard and a mouse.
Hoping that the developer will polish it and iron out the bugs (and hopefully implement 3g modem as well). Finally some fresh air on the otherwise boring android interface :)

Finding a way to install gapps without breaking the system would be great as well...

Let's wait and keep the faith :)

I used TWRP Backup method, with MultiRom and I dont have problem with partition size, maybe flash method is a problem?
For market, I will try "Aptoide" it provides great amount of apps.

after flashing the images and booting, i flashed twrp and flashed supersu for root. I also changed data and cache to f2fs and it worked. gapps....another issue. no joy there. flashing gapps, trying the 'remix os' method did not work. also tried adb pm install. nothing. I also noticed that when the orientation changed from landscape to portrait the running app seemed to hang up (one sound app would stop working right and the 'gapps package installer' would quit downloading). Overall though i like the concept and hopefully these kinks can be worked out. will be keeping track of this one...

Yay, maybe you're right, I flashed that stuff via abd, so maybe something went wrong..
Otherwise I used "resize" function in twrp than changed to f2fs and it worked nice:)

Just want to share: I have fixed the gapps installation problem on my nexus 7 grouper.

I have copied the gapps files directly into the system.img. And follows the update script on the gapps (ie file locations ).
I create phoenixos recovery update , with the gapps already installed. If necessary I can upload it.

If you could upload your modified system.img, it would be much appreciated!!
