This seems like a regular topic but i seemed to have tried everything, phone heats up crazy when dash charging tried different cables too, removed unecessary apps, tweaked kernal for thermal settings.
This seemes to happen from official oreo update, right now i am on Aicp rom.
ALso one of the factors contributing to it may be the heat in India Mumbai since its summer, the room temperature is around 30 degrees and out side can go as high as 40.

I doubt the battery health, i need your opinions

Do you have a phone case? Sometimes the material can deny heat to go away

It's supposed to be like this, Battery charging speed and efficiency are increased when the battery heats up

Sent from my OnePlus5T using XDA Labs
