Phone keeps restarting after Stock FW Flash

Search This thread
Hello guys,

today I'm trying to flash a stock firmware over my old Samsung Galaxy S10, Model: SM-G973F/DS.
I downloaded the latest firmware from Sammobile.com "SM-G973F Germany 2023-01-24 G973FXXSGHWA4 12".

The phone had an older firmware version before.

After flashing with Odin the phone keeps restarting itself.

Do I have a chance to fix this one?? I'm still able to go in download mode with that phone.

And here we are again. I used to install magisk and flashed the patched AP and the other files and went again in bootloop. Then I flashed again stock fw and the result was the same. Somehow I've plugged the charging cable in and It booted up. After that one I flashed the patched AP file again and got the same result.

Now I guess the phone can't boot up bcause of the low battery. Could that be the prob? First of all the phone restarted in a fast cycle. But after some time It needed more time for the same reboot.

I hope that the battery causes the prob and the sgs10 will charge to a "first" bootable state. It is now in download mode where I rather think the phone will charge, instead of the restart bootloop.

Could this theory be right?

Hello Jimmy, how do you proceed you talk about Flashed AP that you modified with magisk yes. Then you transfer from s10 to pc with adb pull after you flash the 4 BL-AP files magisk_patched-CP -CSC with auto reboot checked

Hello Meric, the s10 could finally boot in stock rom after I removed the back cover to replace the battery. For your information, It was an old s10 with broken display, so I replaced the display and battery before flashing yesterday.

The s10 did boot up in stock rom, so I went to download mode to try again flashing the patched AP file.

Now I'm trying to flash the patched AP file from magisk with ODIN and It's stuck in "USERDATA", on the screen itself is written "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(VBMETA).

The ODIN Log says:

<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

Now I'm trying to figure out how to solve this one to get Magisk rdy, did I made something wrong?
I used to transer the patched AP file via external SD card, like I did with my S20 in the past.

And thank you for replying :)

Hello Jimmy, it all depends on what you want to install magisk 25.é as explained by John Wu.
Patch the AP with magisk then transfer s10 to pc with adb pull see here https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
look at XDA the 2 threads discussion on magisk and zygisk

Hello Jimmy, check out this tutorial
1- The bootloader follow explanation Use vol down + vol up + USB cable plugged into a PC to boot the phone into download mode;
Long press vol up then confirm that you want to unlock the bootloader (this is only needed once);
* Please note that all your data will be erased, including internal memory, and the phone will restart!!
5- Let the phone start normally, go through the configuration and connect to the Internet (wireless or mobile data) in order to unlock
6- Make sure OEM Unlock is enabled in Developer Settings.
2- Once reboot install magisk 25.2 APK.
3- Download the official firmware on Samobile.com or frija you will find this on the forum.
4- Transfer the official firmware AP to the smartphone.
5- Open magisk recovery mode choose corrective mode choose the AP download press "let's go."
6- Once the modification is finished in the root directory, download a patched_magiskxxxx.img.tar file if found.
7- Transfer it with adb pull like this adb pull /sdcard/Download/patched_patched.magiskxxxx.img[.tar] you can rename it "patched_magisk.img.tar"
8- Put your smartphone in download mode Use vol down + vol up + usb cable connected to a PC to start the phone in download mode, briefly press vol up to
confirm that you want to enter download mode;
9- Open Odin latest version placed 4 files following BL-AP magisk patched.img.tar-CP-home CSC leaves auto start checked in odin option.
10- It will restart open magisk activated Zygisk restart install safetynet modules - shamiko-hidemagisk prop config-busybox nk-lposed see on this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/discussion-magisk-the-age -of-zygisk.4393877/
message #3-#6 to #9.
11- Install foxmagiskmodulemanager the catalog of modules for magisk here https://github.com/Fox2Code/FoxMagiskModuleManager/releases
12- Once rooted the security message for the removed open Odin place UP-param.tar in AP and flashed. See attached file
Up_param.tar download link on my mega here to know for S10 exynos for S10e- S10+ versions see 5G I don't know if it works.
