It's not just you. I've got several Play system updates including one yesterday, but it's still listed as November 1. I've installed at least half a dozen 'updates' since November, but it still reports the November version.I supposedly installed the Jan Play update (Settings/About Phone/Android Version/Google Play) a couple days ago. I've restarted the phone to finish the installation as the process said, but it still shows up as Nov 22 update. No update is found when I check either. Obviously we are not alone with this problem......
There are two different updates. There is the Android update and Play Services update. I believe the T-Mobile issue is for Android, is it not?I was stuck on November security patch till a few days ago; I read online that T-Mo & Google fi were holding back security updates because it caused issues with esims. So I put in an old Verizon SIM card I had laying around and I was able to get the Dec & Jan security updates that way. I didn't think to check the play update and it turns out I'm also on Nov. Will try and use the SIM swap later to see if that works.
