Phone stolen from my car. At&t insurance claim question

I went out last night and my car was broken into and my Note was stolen along with my radio, gps.....everything!!! Can I file a claim even though I'm still within my 30 days and I only bought the phone 1 week ago? Im so up set right now and I would hate it if I have to buy another phone at full retail.

Att insurance covers theft. File a police report then call att insurance number.

I usually always leave my phone in the car when I go out to lounges and such. I left it in the glove compartment. My car wasn't the only one broken into either, two other cars were also & They broke my window too, Not a good night for me

avast security works great to shut it lock,shut down and wipe. and GPS location of phone

You are taking a chance leaving your car alone, yet having a GPS on the dash.

Ouch, very sorry to hear it! Do you have the ATT/Asurion insurance? If not, you can claim with homeowners, I think, but you'd have to worry about your deductible there.

Quick note on Asurion - I think it's a $200 charge, even with the insurance plan. (Better then $650 I guess).

I know it doesn't help now, but Cerberus would have tracked it down. Check out getting it for your next phone. Amazing app!

Or "Android Lost" This is a free app on the mkt. TONS of ways to track down , lock, send you location of phone..etc. FREE. I have had the app for over a year and i recommend it to anyone.

if you have another att phone on that same plan. call att and sign up for 30 days of family map. accept the plan with the phone you still have and then locate the stolen phone. Easy!

I did this last month when I lot my phone. Found it within 15 minutes. A pizza place counter where I had been the night before.

Throwing it out there, if you have house insurance it may cover stolen items in your car, but if the deductible is too much it may not be worth using it.

Thanks for the response felas!! I have family map and Im trying to get the phone back. Assholes are trying to sell it back to me for 300!! I filed a claim with asurion yesterday and I forgot to put the date of incident on the avadavit. I just uploaded it to their website now so I will get another response tomorrow. In the mean while Im going to leave my phone on and Agree to pay the 300 dollars. Im going to the local precinct where I filed my police report and tell them whats going on....Idiots break into my car and have the nerve to want to sell it back to me!!!

Why use the att insurance? Doesn't your auto insurance cover theft? Just curious..

Try to install plan b app from your computer on play store. I think you can install that app remotely to your phone using google account and locate your phone.

Holy crap, the nerve of these SOB's. They steal your phone and now want to sell it back to you? I would hope the cops can help you get back your phone and arrest these crooks.

just take your receipt and box the phone came in...go to the police and request an officer to ride or stake out the place you agree to ... tell the thieves fine i need my phone back ill pay and get them busted... show the cops the location on the family map... should be way enough for even barney fife to catch them...

Man asurion is giving me a hard ass time with this affidavit!!! I sent it twice with everything on it clear as day. Now I have to resubmit it for the third time. I have to get it notarized again because I have no more space to write on. I feel like I'm having the worst of luck. I hope I can get my phone back because asurion is a pain in the ass
