Phone stuck on "nokia" boot screen

Hi folks,

our Lumia 800 isn't able to boot properly. Every time I try to turn it on it vibrates, the nokia logo shows up and that's it. nothing happens. I've tried all combinations. Soft reset, hard reset... i doesn't help

Only thing that works, is force the phone to go into the connect-to-computer mode and zune is asking me to restore the phone. But I don't want to try that option, because there are very important baby pictures stored on the phone (nope, no cloud service was used )

Any ideas what I could try to do to get the pictures?

i think there is no other ways to recover the pictures, it is because maybe your phone is bricked, i recommend you to restore it to make it at least functioning.
