Ans: Y wud you want to do that..

Q: How to eliminate the initial starting sound?
Ans: Find these 2 files pwr_off.wav and pwr_on.wav, in the windows directory, replace them with a another .wav file of your choice .. or create a silent wave file and replace them..

Q: How to eliminate sound notify when send an sms?
Ans: Open Registry Editor and Go To: HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > MsgTypes > IPM> SMSText
Change: DLL value to htmlnote.dll
Then: Soft reset.
Then again,
Go To: HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox Settings
Change: MMSNoSentMsg name to SMSNoSentMsg
Change: SMSNoSentMsg value to 1
Then: Soft Reset

i've got the above info from various websites and they work on my Omnia i8000.. try it..!
