Did you use any kind of support or tripod to take "night mode"? Its awesome  I know that p20 pro take it without tripod, but dont know if Mate 10/10Pro can do it too.

Im going to buy Mate 10 (no pro). Is it going to get this night mode (without tripod, like p20 pro)?

No use of tripod with new night mode. It's like p20 pro. Don't know about the normal mate 10!!

Mate the 10 pro be with you

OTA Update

Hi All,
I got the OTA update last night: BLA-09 8.0.0.119(C567) that adds support for Night shot update. However, when I'm in the camera app and change to Night Mode, none of the camera app soft buttons respond and it won't take a picture. Therefore, the only option I have is to hit the soft back button to go back to the normal camera mode. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance.

here there are some photos that i took 3 days ago. i went to Alanya and mate10 pro showed its muscles, i think. still in low light it has paint brush effect a lot but in good light conditions it has skills. one photo from castle can show you guys how well mate10 pro handle exposure. you can see outside and inside, it's amazing.

Hello

I have the mate 10 pro since its release, I am mixed about its quality photos, especially the auto mode, the automatic treatment is a disaster, at the level of the faces it has a painting effect especially when the lumonisity is strong, the photos are saturated and some are unusable. My children look like wax dolls.

No updates corrected the problem. B350.

My old phone was doing better. S7.

Switch to smooth colours, it looks much better for me.
The only mode that doesnt have vignetting is standard - vignetting really wrecks alot of photos when on smooth or vivid mode - heres a screenshot of the different modes taken from online (smooth, then vivid, then standard) Vignetting can be added later on in editing without it being forced onto the original photo and possibly wrecking your photo - Saturation can also be increased in editing to match the other modes without the vignetting if you stay with standard - Edit - tried to add a screenshot showing the 3 differences - BBcode is beyond me although i do have the comarison image hosted and have the bbcode to it - but it wont show

That's the vignetting of the sensor, all RAW I take have this vignetting, it's really boring. The lens are not that good for a Zeiss thing, never had such thing with previous nokia and Microsoft phone that were Zeiss too.

Nah its one of thefilters that huawei adds when "smooth" or "vivid" mode is selected - google up a few reviews you will see it mentioned, and also mentioned that standard mode doesnt apply a vignetting filter like smooth/vivid modes do (or just try it yourself on a blue sky - its pretty obvious even in the viewfinder flicking between them)

Ps - Its a leica not a zeiss
