Turn off Shutter Sound

I don't have a problem with photo quality. Its best for the price and Samsung branding. But the important question is HOW TO DISANLE CAMERA SHUTTER SOUNDS?
Turn down the system sounds and bam, it's now gone.
Go to different volumes section from volume buttons. Lower the system sounds to 0.

Camera for me is crap. No detail, no sharpenes. Where did all the megapixels went ? 25 ? Hmm ? Another thing is color reproduction, it's sort of hit and miss. Low light...forget it ! Live focus...also hit and miss. Disappointing to say at least. ? However as being sad I'm coming from Lg v10, a few years old Lg flagship where 16mp camera was not the best but among better ones with OIS. And it was and still is way better. Maybe I was just expecting too much. I thought latest mid-range phone would be better or at least on same level than 2015 flagship but I was wrong. Off course if we are talking only about camera. But battery wise and some other things..?

For active 25 megapixels set cam to 4:3H by defaut It's 4:3 (12,2 megapixels)
So It's not activated by default but you can have 25mpx

I upgraded/downgraded from an Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. Camera on an redmi was ok (better than A50) even without using Google camera port. With google camera port it blows A50 out of the door. That's my main disappointment when it comes to this device and Xiaomi had "just" 12MP sensor. Planning to swap it for an Pocofone f1 if we don't get some sort of hal3 support soon so we can actually use gcam. As you said camera is ok but would rate it 6/10 in well lit room/area. Live focus is completely unusable blur misses subject 9 times out of 10. But when it comes to low light (not night photo but even dawn or not so well lit indoor) it looks so bad as if I took a photo from my old Galaxy S3 even my Gf who isn't tech savvy immediately noticed how bad it is and is disappointed as well. It lacks details it lacks sharpness looks kinda of washed out. Don't recommend this phone to anyone who uses phone as a main camera. Ended up comparing it to gfs J7 pro 2017 and j7 actually has sharper image in every situation I threw at it. Not to mention the Pro mode witch I ended up disabling as it had just white balance and iso to control things we had since android kitkat. Just bad.

Hello, does anybody know what kind of protection glass does A50 have on the back cameras ?
Seems like a hardened glass, but don't worry even if you took a sandpaper to it and scuffed it all up I don't think you would notice much of a difference since camera is generally really bad.

Very disappointing camera. Daylight pictures look ok, but as soon as you zoom in, they're totally washed out and blurred in details. Low lightning (not even night) is simply unusable, I tried to take some pics in a theatre (Lights were still on, before the show started), and all of them are completely wrong.

I just got the A50 as a company phone to replace my Honor 8. I'm quite disappointed with the photo quality. Even in the full 25MP mode (3:4H) it doesn't resolve much details and suffers from over sharpening and over saturation. Overexposure is also a risk if you're not careful. The Honor 8 with it's 12MP camera took photos with better detail and color. The 8MP wide angle is a nice idea but the image quality is quite bad when viewed on a larger display or zoomed in. Not much detail at all.

Here are some galleries of photos I took with the A50. View in imgur on desktop to see full size or use desktop mode on your mobile browser.

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Samsung Galaxy A50 come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
The Best Dynamic Range phone for still images on both rear & front camera under 20k period.
If you want pure details & better nightmode, Rn7pro is the way to go under 20k, period.
Imx 576 on galaxy A50 is indeed an excellent sensor.

Daylight (front/back) 》
1) Everything from dynamic range, highlight control, exposure (bit bright), face tones, details etc are perfect.
2) Best front camera under 20k period.

Lowlight (front/back) 》
1) Images are bright even without a dedicated nightmode using scene optimizer, details are okayish, highlights are okayish, overall rn7pro performs better at night, though with lot of noise that is.
2) Best front camera under 20k beside Rm3pro under lowlight, period.

Cheers :)

I think the camera is very bad by far for a long time but that is me :( . And I even think the sensor is only 12,4Mp but software upscaled to 25Mp  . I quickly compared camera with (level of details and color reproduction): Lg V30 (waaay better), Lg V10 (also waaay better), Lg G3 (better), Lg G5 (better), Galaxy S8 (better), Galaxy S7 (better), Huawei P20 Lite (better), Galaxy S4 (a tie !), Galaxy S2 (worse). That's the phones in the house laying around and owned by family :) :) Sold the phone after a month of frustration with camera :( :crying:
It all depends from what phone are you coming from, if it's Nokia 3310 this is the way to go
@Sumedh_ "Imx 576 on galaxy A50 is indeed an excellent sensor." Imx 576 ?? Can I ask where did you get this information ? Even if that would be true there is plenty of examples how bad this sensor is as one stated above it's worse or tie than Samsung Galaxy S3 as one mentioned above and also in this thread of Galaxy A7 https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-A-Series/Galaxy-A7-2018-Poor-photo-quality/td-p/927473 :mad:

》 Stop spreading irrelevant information. That's utter nonsense to compare Galaxy S3 with Galaxy A50. A50 is leagues ahead of S3 & is a even a bit better than Galaxy S8.
》 I used AIDA64 software to confirm that Galaxy A50 has flagship imx 576 sensor.

》》 Don't post irrelevant information without testing or owning the device, just because you don't like the device.

"Stop spreading irrelevant information" Why ? The title is Photo quality...I only commented on photo quality
"...nonsense to compare S3 with A50" I was not. I was only referring to other else's post's regarding IMX576 issues, please read again.
"bit better than Galaxy S8" Your eyes and my eyes are different, so is the judgement about that
"...Galaxy A50 has flagship imx 576 sensor" I didn't see any flagship results but you may see and judge different, it's subjective
"Don't post irrelevant information without testing or owning the device" I compared MY A50 with phones I mentioned above, "MY" means I owned a device for 4 weeks than sold it
"... just because you don't like the device" Again, thread is about photo quality otherwise device has superb battery life, superb one Ui, superb S.Amoled screen, superb stable software, superb modern look, superb, superb...etc, but it has mediocre fingerprint scanner and a bad camera. This is my opinion (your can be different) and if you don't like it than close the thread about "Photo quality" or ban anyone who posts negative comment about product you think is great to you. Btw I was and still am a Samsung fan but if something could be better or it's bad I'm not quiet. And this kind of user opinions are pushing manufacturers to push better products on the market.
