Yes, great battery life when you ultra debloat it, otherwise you have 4-6hrs SOT. i got 11 hrs SOT and after that "other stabiliser codes are applied" 650 MB crap I got about 10:20 hrs SOT. So how is it improved? Also I cannot disable GOS via adb after that update, why? Why proximity sensor isn't as reliable and fast as Galaxy J5's (2015)? I can continue if you want.

Btw those two things which you shot are fine because this is not that hard to shot, these things in indoor can shot my Galaxy J5 2015 too. Try harder things, oh or monitors in the night! Even in the day it looks like shot from Siemens A50. And what AMOLED display?? Haha I laughed hard. Yes, Galaxy A50 has got AMOLED but Yellowish! Why Mi 9T has better AMOLED display? Isn't Samsung the best at AMOLED displays? To be fare ok S series have got normal white AMOLED displays. But for this price it's ****!

Hell, i've been watching a TV series recently and i can binge-watch a full season (roughly 8 hs of video) and i still end up with like 40% battery left. I use it as my daily driver and the battery easily lasts 2 days with moderate use. Maybe there lies your problem (and i don't mean it sarcastically): maybe you tried to debloat the phone, and also probably installed some custom stuff, or have some weird app running in the background and now it's not working as good as stock. My phone is fully stock and i can't complain about the battery life, it's REALLY good and it's been a GREAT upgrade from my Moto G4 Plus from 2016.
The pictures i uploaded are one from a monitor (or LCD screen) and one indoors, two of the scenarios in which YOU said that the phone couldn't manage. In regards to the panel, it's GREAT man and you know it, you can hate all you want but it's literally one of the best panels in its price-range and it has been praised but almost all reviewers. If you don't agree, then you must be blind or just trolling. It's the phone's best feature and looks even better than a Moto Z screen (which is a high-end phone).

One of the only but BIG caveats with this phone is the Exynos processor, which makes it incompatible with some apps, you can't use Google Camera, etc. That's a real issue and probably one of the reasons I wouldn't recommend Samsung phones (the other one is the unnecessary bloatware) since Snapdragon processors are the standard, and they usually run better.

These two pictures were taken indoors with no Night mode. They are not insanely high quality pictures, but they're not that bad either and they certainly get the job done.
What i must agree on is that whether it's indoors or outdoors, the photos don't look like they were taken on a 24 MPX sensor at all, since it has huge problems resolving textures, like asphalt, leather, etc.

You can't recommend this phone because of its camera, that's for sure. There are better options in this price-range, but at least it's decent (it's not a calculator as you say), and the phone itself has great battery life and an AMOLED panel with really high quality. Those were the main selling points for me.

Haha the gosting is here too, whenever I scroll into youtube comments with dark mode and low light conditions, it does the same. And the yellowish I mean that it's not as white as Mi 9T's AMOLED display! I don't use SD card, so i don't care about it. And video quality is far better, it has camera2api, 60fps (optional 4K), etc. So.

Just got it finally a few weeks ago and been loving the images. Tho been snapping in FULL format, now and then will switch to hires [34H] to snap some pixs. Been posting some results at my 500px site. Overall, the images are great though the filesize of images are MUCH smaller than my previous S4, and even my S5 (really!!). Remember the A50 in most modes has a AF/AE lock, and when not able to use that, tap the screen where you want the focus to be to ensure the best focus and sharpness. In zoom mode the sharpness really isn't the best but considering it's a smartphone camera, it's not too shabby at all! I've got a few images posted here, so take a look at the gallery in my profile

After 1 and a half year of usage I can say that photos are good only with a sunny day. In closed rooms or bad light this phone sucks, a lot

Pixel binning

I would like the cam to have a 6mp setting that binned 4 pixels into 1, like the other upper A series and the new A51.
Pixelbinning just doesn't seem to work very well from 2 to 1, and I doubt software can do much to improve this.
Has anyone compared A51's and A50's cameras already?

Does anyone else have major stuttering while using the camera? It takes a minute to load and even switchj f from "photo" to "panorama" etc. C.auses the system to freeze at times.

I don't have a problem with photo quality. Its best for the price and Samsung branding. But the important question is HOW TO DISANLE CAMERA SHUTTER SOUNDS?

Go to the stock camera app and click on the gear in the top left, scroll down and you will see a toggle that says Shutter sounds, click it and it will disable the sound when you take photos.

i think it's bad for a reason. imagine it was as good as s10. nobody would touch flagships. i buy for camera and speed. i can disable scamsung bloat and other useless crap and get some speed. camera won't get any better. if a5x had s10 image quality i'd be happy for the price. scamsung doesn't want to kill its flagship line. that's why i'm still looking into a51 but only when it's much cheaper and not as my primary phone. if any other manufacturer offers midrange with unlockable bootloader, i won't even look into another samsung for 5+ years. every year same story something overhyped overrated turns out only incrementally better not worth price increase.

This is region specific. In Germany (probably also in EU) you can't turn it off because there is no toggle for this setting. The only work around it to have the phone is silent or vibration mode.

I have to continue testing but I am playing with the exposure time and lens aperture as in googlecam
