yes, but a-only system-as-root for EMUI9, that means you should flash ab roms to boot.

Thanks, working on Wileyfox 2x "Marmite" . Camera didn't work but after flashing a patch made for phh gsi's it worked.

Magisk was installed but not working so flashed zip in recovery and now everything is working.

My only bug is MicroG hangs on the adding Google account login page ...well it signs in ..but afterwards doesn't complete the process ..tried clearing cache but it didn't work ..any ideas ?

pretty sure you cant use a google account with anything with this rom as it's de-google-fied for a reason.

I don't understand why bother with microG then ? It comes preinstalled ....I need to sync my google contacts with my email application and WhatsApp ....which is what people use microG for ...other than getting Maps or Navigation working ..

Well here you can see MicroG ...preinstalled ...did you try the rom ? have you used microG before ?

well MicroG is needed to get most apps that people use to even work on their phones, you will just need to find alternative apps that will let you sign into your google account on them.

You are contradicting yourself . I NEED microG to allow apks I use to sync or communicate with Google ( literally what you told me MicroG was installed for on this rom )

My bug is MicroG CANNOT sign into my google account successfully ...so I can literally not use different apks that were made by other devs and which I bought ....nothing to do with if this device was "degoogled"

If you are saying use another apk to sign into google ....there isn't any ...I would have to flash gapps which means using e rom was for nothing ...

a person can ONLY use gapps or exposed or microG to use apks with Google dependencies on a non google rom
*maybe use chrome

So I can't because microG is failing to do it's job of signing into google account . But that is not because this rom was made to use without MicroG..

It's because of a bug with rom or microG. So please advise how to fix the bug to let microG work. Don't make contradictory statements which aren't useful or any fix for this bug/problem

Other e-rom for specific devices have a working microG so let's try to fix this bug .

Well as for now other e-rom is working ..I will see if the OP / builder will answer ...since he is responsible for this GSI here with him might be the right place to start ...because any changes to GSI will be made by him .. @Phie

Well maybe the problem is with MicroG compatibility with Pie .. Seems nobody can sync / sign in correctly to sync contacts, calender with MicroG on Pie ..*maybe
