i recommend get backups with titanium backup and clean flash evritiem

In Android, this option lies in "Security & Location/Lock screen preferences" check there, you can edit individually in "Apps & Notifications" too,

not able to encrypt phone

i cant encrypt my phone when i try to encrypt from the settings menu it just reboots the launcher and stay the same
and factory reset doesn't work either
after i wipe all the data from twrp on the starting it tells me "your phone was reset to factory settings please enter your pattern" is this message somehow connects to me encryption problem?
i hope someone can help me on this
