I am getting an error 7 when trying to flash Havoc 2.7 in TWRP.

I am on TWRP 3.3.1-0, FW 9.0.6 and have tried Havoc 2.6 too with no luck. I can install Resurrection Remix 8.1 with no problems. Anyone know what to do?

Edit: Tried installing Lineage 16 (Pie), it ended with error 7 too. When booting Resurrection Remix 8.1 it kept saying Google Services Framework has stopped.

Edit 2: On my quest to get this to work yesterday i flashed TWRP 3.2.3-0. When I wanted to exit it suddenly rebooted. After this TWRP has acted weird, deleting my files, me not being able to copy files to my phone from Windows and the phone showing up as 1-3 disks in Windows. Is something corrupted, and if so, how can i fix it?

You done goofed ha. Sounds like a soft brick of some sort. You didn't do something correctly but oh well. Just Google soft brick OnePlus 5. Also, if you want to try, search device manager in Windows and find your phone on that list. Uninstall the driver for your phone and unplug and plug it back in. Windows should auto download it again. Honestly, if you have issues with that too, Google how to get that going to

Thanks for your reply.

I managed to solve the problem and flashing Havoc by installing OOS from this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/guide-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3761706 and then flashing Havoc the ususal way.

To others with seemingly have no way of installing a rom, go ahead and try this.

The last time I used this rom, nfc seemed to be finally working after months of addressing the issue with it. I set up everything including Google pay, just to realize it's still not recognizing the POS at the cash desk. Huge bummer... Switched back to crDroid

Well, I have created a logcat of Google Play crashing when scrolling a page. I hope that I did it right and that this reaches the developers.

Hello! I installed this ROM yesterday and it is nice so far.
My current problem is the battery life. Last night my battery drained ~20%. I had Always on Display active, but without WiFi, mobile data or GPS. I will try again tonight without AoD to see if the situation changes.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Also what should I use for root? Magisk?

Firmware 9.0.7
HavocOs 2.7
Kernel set on battery saver mode.

has anyone problem with Op5 and oos cam not able to record video in 720p or lower? all i can choose is either 1080p or 4k.
oos cam is 3.2.91 and havoc is 2.7 from 05-07-2019
i can record in 720p with other cam apps.

so its definitely working on crDroid?
NFC itself is working, the problem with Google Pay seems to be on googles side.

there is an open issue thread for it at https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/135132389

could help if you add / bump it

For some reason, it doesn't give me the option to ask for the password on boot. Does someone know why?

(I'm new to this phone btw)

I flashed the 9.0.7 firmware, Havoc and Magisk

(Also, bypassing forced-encryption doesn't seem to work for me.)

Edit: Haven't tried any other ROM

In my opinion this is clearly a rom issue, as i never had any problems with NFC and Google Pay on other Roms, including cr aswell as AOSiP.
On some roms GPay wont work by default due to SafetyNet issues, but this is easliy bypassed with Magisk Hide / Props module.
After that no problems at all, I use GPay for nearly all my transactions on crDroid.

This is annoying btw. The phone is encrypted and TWRP asks me for a password. My Lockscreen password doesn't work, neither does default_password.

I'm guessing the keymaster changed or something along the line. Likely you would have to wipe. One thing I really dislike about encryption

Hi, Anyone using Blokada 4 or any VPN ?

Many apps, including firefox can't connect when the VPN is on (google and f droid have no issue). The devs can't troubleshot since I'm on a custom Rom, but implied it could be a rom issue. They told me they found a module for VPN usability was missing while troobleshooting another issue without disclosing the rom.

Thank you for your ideas.

same here. itried to downgrade playservices version, but nothing changed. i cant pay on cash deck. nothing happens, but NFC is working and i can read nfc stickers and pair devices with NFC help. only payment doesn't work. Btw it doesn't work for all payment apps, not only GPay.

Just wanted to throw this out in case anybody was having similar issues. I had upgraded to the latest Havoc and immediately got massive lag issues. They came and went sporadically, but we're consistent to the point that the boot screen would lag, chrome and other play services seemed to lag, sometimes the screen wouldn't come on at all.

But then I noticed recovery seemed to lag too. I had to flash the latest firmware to get the latest Havoc, so I just flashed the latest open beta firmware (35) and it seems that all of my problems are solved. Phone hasn't been this snappy in weeks (I've been suffering with the lag until I could find time to diagnose and play around with it).

Just figured I'd toss that out in case others have a similar issue and hopefully they're Google quest will turn up this as a potential solution.
