The Bose QC 20 for Android can't skip the current track in the Pixel 2.

They can still increase/decrease the volume and stop/play the music. And I think they can still call the assistant.

The only thing that doesn't work is the double tap to switch to the next track.

Cross posting this here from the 2 XL Forum:

There's more options now it appears.
BASEVS $17.90 https://www.amazon.com/Basevs-Earphone-Convertor-Motorola-more-Upgrade/dp/B077GT9MTD/
CONMDEX $17.90 https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-CONMDEX-Headphone-Amplifier-Samsung/dp/B077GS8G3N/
FARACENT $17.90 https://www.amazon.com/adapter-Faracent-Realtek-Hi-res-output/dp/B077FJH6WT/
AirsFish $17.90 https://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-AirsFish-Headphone-Adapter-Conversion/dp/B077GVVLQZ/

These 4 appear to be the same with different brand names on them and they use a Realtek Chip compared to the Geekria one that uses a Conexant one. I don't know what the Google one uses though. Slight update it looks like the Razor one will be compatible so there's that plus the ones for the HTC U11 are as well although there is debate as to whether the one for the U11 and the U11 Ultra are the same with a new case design or us a different chip. But either way the HTC ones have a DAC in the adaptor so that makes it compatible.

So far the current list is:
Google OEM
Essential Phone PH-1 adaptor
Razor Phone Adaptor
HTC U11 https://www.htc.com/us/accessories-b/#!pid=htc-u11&acc=usb-c-digital-to-3-5mm-htc-u11
HTC U11 Ultra Adaptor https://www.htc.com/us/accessories-b/#!pid=htc-u11&acc=usb-c-digital-to-3-5mm-htc-u-ultra
Geekria https://www.amazon.com/Geekria-Headphone-Headphones-Conversion-Compatible/dp/B073Z47PSK/

And the 4 above.

bjrmd did a great thread on the measurements on the Google and Geekria adaptors https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/how-to/pixel-usb-c-audio-measurements-t3691535 and I gave him a heads up on the new Realtek ones and he will most likely add his measurements to that thread.

EDIT: bjrmd added his tests on the HTC one as well in that thread so he'll be adding the Realtek ones once he gets it. (He confirmed he has bought one and has it is on the way)
@steejo Since you're the OP would you like to change the OP to add a list of compatible adapters? I'll pop in here from time to time when I can to add others I run across.

Another option for some home (and maybe car) applications is Google's Chromecast Audio.
I wonder if you could create a wifi hotspot (no mobile data) with the Pixel, then use that to drive the chromecast audio.

You used to be able to do that with the regular chromecast, then they removed the feature. I lost track of whether it came back.

That is the way people are doing it. I saw several sets of instructions online, but I have not tried it. My only worry is that phone might get too hot with say Tidal data flowing both through wireless receivers and wifi both. For a while, I projected Spotify to my home stereo over airplay, and it got very hot. I might try it though. I get mine on Monday.

Here's an Amazon link to the one for the Razor Phone. Says it's THX Certified so don't know what DAC it'd be using.
$20 https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Other-Cable-Phone-Black/dp/B07798HM3H/

Also another Realtek Adapter by LIOOTECH: https://www.amazon.com/Cancelling-External-Universal-LIOOTECH-Essential/dp/B0778QKKFJ/

Also bjrmd added his review of the Realtek adapters: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74749702&postcount=104
TL: DR it's pretty much the same as the Google one with a slight variance. The google one might be using an older chip and it's confirmed the Google one is a Realtek DAC as well.

is there a way to bypass the error of "analog audio accessory detected the attached device is not compatible with this phone" with a rooted phone?

Hi.

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I need a adapter that gives me both USB-c for charging, and minijack for audio out.
I need this in my car, so it both charges and can play media over the cars speakers.

I found this thread, because of the error message i got when i plugged this in:
https://hocotech.com/product/phone-...type-c-to-3-5-mm-ls19-2-in-1-audio-converter/
did you get an answer? I was just reading up to here and saw this mentioned which seems to be what you're describing.

That's what everyone is talking about here. The original post has a summary of the discussions showing the adapter brands that work. I'm getting one straight from Google. Ordered today for $20 CDN.
