That's normal. They place an authorization hold on your card immediately, and depending upon your bank/credit card company policies, it will eventually drop off after a few days. They will submit a finalized charge shortly before shipment which will actually post to your account in a day or two after they finalize the charge.

Cool. I think you're probably right I never really paid close attention to that stuff. Because I ordered a case for it through Amazon and the exact same thing happened it showed a hold and then it went away today.

Well.. i cancelled my order.. dont think it will help anyone.. black xl 128gb.. found out we have a bun in the oven.... So with upcoming expenses and still unsure this will best my nexus 6... Im waiting for now.. also no real incentive of pre-ordering.. i will wait a few months and see if Devs pick this $$$ sucker up

I ordered on launch day and have a shipping date of the 17th. My credit card was charged this morning at 4AM EST.
