Pixel 2XL teathering (Verizion unlimited) is totally broken

Is anyone else having issues with their teathering? I have the $40 unlimited plan and while my laptop can connect to phone it really has no internet. No sites load. It's really bad.

I've tried turning off hardware teathering g but no change. Any ideas?

Is it a google or verizon device and are you activated to use hotspot through verizon?

Verizion. If I turn. On wireless hotspot it activates and devices can find it. And I can ping / tracert to google.com or cnn.com. but any attempt to get their in a browser times out 90% of the time.

If I connect via USB weathering it keeps toggling on and off and never works. So frustrating.

And yes I have teathering enabled.
