Pixel Launcher Announced - Will it be coming to the Pixel C?

The Pixel launcher, formerly known as the nexus launcher, was leaked today and it's apparently going to be used on the future "pixel" devices that will replace the nexus line.
My question is, will it be coming to the only Pixel device we have at the moment running android, the Pixel C?

the launcher .apk was put on mega for download if you want to try it.

You can download it for Pixel/Pixel XL from Google Play.
I am running the same OS 7.1, enrolled in the Beta Program but you still can not officially install Pixel Launcher on the Pixel C.
Wonder why not.
