Hi! I am currently using LineageOS20 by @sabar_op and I am enjoying it. however, i just found out today that it doesnt support USB Audio.

Now i just want to ask. Does this ROM support it? Because if it does i will be switching right away.

I never use USB audio so I can't answer your question but if this one doesn't there are two further A13 options.

Lineage 20 by kyasu which is on the Mi Pad 4 forum. You would need to change TWRP to install this as it is based on 4.4 kernel.

Arrow A13 by Pix106, which you can find on the Mi Pad 4 Support Group on Telegram. Your current TWRP is the one for this as it was developed by Pix106.


I've tried all four and they are all really good.

hi, i've flashed PixelExperience_clover-13.0-20230108-0827-UNOFFICIAL.zip i went from LineageOS 19 for Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 i flashed it on a xiaomi mi pad 4 with TWRP 3.7.0
but got theses screens, why?

Have you used the same TWRP that you used for Lineage 19? If so you have an encryption issue as the old ROM is based on 4.4 kernel whereas the new one is based on 4.19 and is encrypted.

You need to flash the Pix106 TWRP on page 1 using Fastboot and format data. If that doesn't boot then do the following:

Format data
Reboot to recovery
Flash ROM
Format data
Reboot to System

ok i did a fastboot format recovery then reflash twrp-4.19-3.7.0_9-clover-20221113-0854 install PixelExperience_clover-11.0-20220305-0307-UNOFFICIAL and it works

I am not sure about lineageOS20 if it has a clover (8 inch version) and clover+ (10 inch version) indexing. But for pixele perience that is how you identify things. You download what your device is whether you are on the 8 inch side or the 10 inch.

Yeah it's been a while since i installed a rom, i am not sure why there is lineage and pixel - what is the difference? I guess whatever one i choose i need the clover+ though?

LineageOS is lineage. Pixelexperience has to be more Pixel-like in terms of features and looks of the ROM. I follow both threads and many say there is a minute difference between the 2 since both are from the aame dev. So maybe the only way to try is to flash it and see. Im sticking with lineage for now.

Please help - all of a sudden my MiPad-8 is now stuck in a TWRP-BootLoop
I did not mess with anything recently and the tablet used to work find for weeks now.
Just felt asleep with it watching some prime movie and in the morning the battery was drained.
Afterwards it never booted into the system and for what reason ever always ended up in TWRP...
(I haven't rooted the device with Magisk or any other SU so far...)

I tried to reflash the same version again (from Nov.) I had running up to now.
Also reflashed the same recent TWRP version from Pix106.
Downloaded the newest PE version from Jan. also without luck.
Flashed the same (as I had) and the newest SouthWest Kernel as well.
Unfortunately all without any success --> Is anyone please having another ideas?
(Apart from factory resetting and loosing all my data...)

I'd say it's an encryption issue somehow so I'd suggest formating data as from what you've posted you haven't done so. You'll lose your apps and data but as you can't currently use your device then it might be your only option anyway.

I found the rom by kyasu and subscribed to the thrrad. He did confirm that usb headphones work on his rom so it's a high probability that usb audio/dac works. BUT the rom currently has a charging issue so i am waiting for the february updatr like i am also waiting for the next update of this rom. As for the arrow 13 you mentioned, google doesnt give me the results to the telegram thread. Lol

He means the Pixel Experience Plus ROM. There are two Pluses to account for. One the Pixel Experience ROM and one the device.

@CodeXter you could easily enough just get all the bits from Playstore and make your own Plus version of Pixel Experience.

Thanks for your clarification on my intention and unfortunately there are not "all" apps available via PlayStore (or elsewhere) to really feature the experience of the "real" Plus edition, but nevertheless I moved away now (see below)...

Also thanks for your reply and yes, unfortunately all my attempts did not work out and i needed to reformat.
But for the reason, that I cannot explain what really happened I also lost my trust a bit into that ROM
So I decided to move away and give another recent one the chance to revive my MiPad-4:
PixelExperience Plus for Mi Pad 4 (Plus)

So far I can say:
- This one is already the PLUS Edition of PE (for either Clover or Clover+)
- It really feels like graphically optimized for a tablet (not just a overscaled phone)
- Also it seems to be performing a bit quicker on usual day-2-day actions (almost no lagging)
- And I havn't tried yet, but it also offers to flash different display refresh-rates (60/75/85/90 Hz)

hello, i dis a mistake, i flashed i've pulled out boot.img from the PixelExperience_clover-11.0-20220305-0307-UNOFFICIAL.zip, patched with magisk from the device then pulled out magisk_patched-25200_DWifG.img to fastboot flash it from the pc; but now when i boot my xiaomi mi pad 4 it boot only on TWRP, what i did wrong?

FYI there will be no update of PE rom by me since other dev was built in the this thread. The kernel and device tree source is same with my build so I think the rom performance should be similar or maybe better with some improvement.
