What is this?

Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)

Based on Android 9

What’s working?

• Almost Everything

Known issues

• Some apps can’t get the network connection status
  Such as YouTube, WhatsApp.
  Ignore it, app can connect network actually.
  Vibration didn’t work.
• You need to use 3rd-party app to disable buttons light or use this command echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness with su to disable.
• Can’t change wallpapers

Before install

• Don’t flash GApps, already included.
• The ROM removed Inputmod(Gboard), so before you install PE Please prepare the Inputmod install package.

• Because the first issues, so before login your Google account, don't click the status bar message.
• Because the device /system space is to small, so I remove some app at PE, you can learn more about here

It's the keyboard not included in the rom due to insufficient space. So, you have to download latest Gboard from apkmirror save into internal storage. Once you flashed the rom, first time setup you won't able to use keyboard. Skip it and install Gboard apk.

So you are saying, that rom doesn't have any keyboard, due which I have to skin initial setup (wifi connect and password)?
Can I delete pico tts additional languages, print service, livewallpaper and other unnecessary apps from twrp and place gboard.apk into system, will it work?

I've tested this ROM but I was not able to sign in my Google account

it always said that you don't have internet connection the bug you mentioned that some apps are not able to get data connection

Everything is working fine another bug is it shows 3g instead of 4g and data connection is not stable when I open mobile networks the setting apps crashes again and again

some basic apps missing like phone ~messages ~clock etc that's not a big problem for me

If the developer will fix google login problem or data connection it will the best ROM for this device better than mokee 9.0 just because of no google service on mokee

Bugs on pixel experience

Ive tested this rom many times
Bugs
You will not able to sign in google account maybe it is not a bug
Just update google play service manually
Go in setting 》google service may be in last 3rd or 4th row click on manage google account 》 sign in promt will open now you are in

Not able to download anything from google play service bcz it kept saying download pending may be it only on me tried with wifi problem presist same cleared data cache

Hotspot not working as you turn on data connection hotspot getting turned off again and agian it will only when you dont turn on data connection

The problem is same on all pie buids lineage os { want lineage os get it on telegram redmi note 4g section }

Tested this rom several times, and still cannot login google account, even after updating google apps manually.
Following the instructions, I skip the initial settings.
Trying to install the input method with ADB in recovery mode, again, I failed.
Except this problem, it is a perfect rom for an old device.

Don't update whole gapps try to update only google play service
Follow these step :cowboy:
- go to settings
- find google tab the option might be last third or fourth option
-click on it the
- click on manage account
- then it will ask you for account sign then you are
good to go
Now you can sign in :silly:

Tell me if you are able to download apps from playstore in this rom :good:

Thx for following up with me. I just gave another try, and this time, I could login google account directly, without any updates or other special steps. Now, after enabling updates under any network,
I can download and update APPs. Hope your instructions can help other users.

If anyone can't login then Google account
You have to reboot the phone, then login your Google account (before you login Don't check any notification messages or QS buttons)
Or you can login Google account through any VPN.

big heating issue with this rom

If anyone cannot connect to the internet, the phone needs to be Turned off and left for a few seconds and then turned on. Rebooting didn't help me. Network started working only after "power off" and "power on" and was able to login to google account.

Downloading apps from the appstore doesn't work. Let me know if there are any workarounds for this.


Thanks Dev and everyone working on this project. Only vibrate doesn't work. Rest all are working fine.
