Do i need to be on a stock ROM to install this ? Or is it possible to flash it coming from another custom rom ?

Besides sideloading Magisk on Recovery, can we root by patching the boot.img after extracting the rom zip?

i'm faceing the following issues on my nothing phone with stable version 6.2.2 :

- starting phone app shows the message "the device ist not compatible and calls may not work properly"
(but everything seems to work!)
- on switching the user profile, display brightness goes down to nealry zero
(auto-brightness-mode is always disabled by me manually)
- sometimes my phone reboots without userinteraction
(i cannot reproduce this behavior, phone was in my pocket ... happened for more times)


questions/feature-requests:

- any idea, when will ota be available?
- lock the bootimage after flashing the custom rom is impossible, correct? is my data save? is it possible to hide the warn message on phone boot?
- is it possible to integrate more customization-options for themes/coloring? e.g. i want to change the box-color from dark gray to full black ... a little bit works with the app repainter, but not all that i want
- automatic switching userprofile by entering the corresponding PIN would be great
- and also an option to hide other userprofiles

1. Uninstall updates of dialer for now and update to non pixel versions from apkmirror
2. Aosp bug , may be will be fixed soon
3. Make sure you are on 1.5.3 firmware

Ota will be available soon as of now can't really promise anything

I wouldn't recommend locking bootloader after flashing, we are shipping userdebug builds as of now ( might change in future though)

Rest feature requests i don't think its worth it .

how do i check if i am on firmware 1.5.3 ... my phone has been on nothing os 1.5.3 before flashing your rom.

Why does my phone randomly just hang sometimes? like I'm unable to do anything, any media is paused but stuff like holding down the power button for the power menu works, but only the vibration and nothing else. Flip to Glyph also still works. I am unable to interact with anything and the only way for me to fix it is to do a hard reset. The Glyph notification also comes in earlier than the actual notification sound.

Also it would be nice if there was raise to wake lol. Thanks for your work!

I am experiencing the same issue sometimes.

The current app will just hang, I cannot interact with anything other than sometimes pull up the menu to Shutdown / Restart or have to hard reset.

It also happens pretty much randomly, browsing / yt / gaming / etc.

yea the issue is magisk. The only way i fixed it was by removing magisk. You can try flashing this

Stock dialer doesn't have any compatibility issue , just updating from play store is broken i am already investigating that

Random freeze only happens with magisk that is also under consideration will be fixed in next version

the glyph app crashes on incoming calls and watching a video in chrome sometimes on second user profile.
after some crashes the phone performs a reboot or shutdown.
