After more than 2 wonderful years with HTC Legend I have a problem with the plastic holder battery.
The rolling piece that we have to roll out to take tou the battery and roll in after the battery is in.
Can anyone help me to find this item or give me a solution to hold the battery in the right position?

thanks
Ale

I came up with a crude but simple solution to the problem.
I superglued a few layers of thick paper on the edge of the battery (the edge oppositte to the contacts),
in such a way that it formed a small ridge towards the side which is towards the back of the phone. (see drawing).
In this way, the plastic rolling piece is held in place firmly.

(actually have to push the battery further in, just to be able to open it now).

I hope that it helps.

My battery was huge. And when its life ended, because it was a third party battery, I had to replace it. I didn't know about the red lever. So I just shook the phone in a very suggestive gesture for about 45 minutes when it finally got out far enough to pull out. And it took quite a bit of strength to pull out. Now there's a huge bulge on top the battery, which I'm keeping as a wallet support.

Good times. I love this phone!

Sent from my Nexus 7 on the XDA app. GO CANADA GO

haha I have just recently changed phones. Was using a mugen battery and it finally died. The phone managed to deform over the 2 years and the slider didn't work to get out the battery. After trying so much I just hit the bottom of the phone on the floor and it came out so easily. This phone is a TANK so don't worry about breaking this phone
