Play Android Market Movies on Rooted devices

According to Google Support, you can't play movies from the market on rooted Android devices.

How can Google check if the device is rooted or not? If we know this, it shouldn't be very difficult to fix that, should it? :cool:

Probably they check if "su" binary is installed on the phone. Sure you can easily remove it so Google thinks you are not rooted anymore. Indeed then you are not rooted anymore....

Otherwise I guess you have to patch the market application.... (and do it again after each update)

Actually this situation sucks!
