Hi all,

maybe you read the news that Play Store 4.1.6, which was rolled out after Google I/O, should drain the battery on some devices, so in the last days Google updated to 4.1.10 silently.

Last night I got the update but since then my RAZRi drained faster than before. I rebooted, cleared cache and such things, but the problem remains.
Do anyone of you experience the same?

Hi.

I noticed increasing battery consumption and more wakelocks by playstore since new version of 4.x.x so I am using old version 3.10.14 modified (edit patched) by arman68 from his System apps v1 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223482

Google playstore even the new version supports only apps in our region so I'm satisfied with old version.

But Play Store does auto update itself, why not in your system?

Edit: is patched, ok :)

Edit 2: Google Play is not the problem... Seems that Google Play Services is the battery hog.

Just a small update FYI: Not the Play Store Services were the problem...
Unfortunately there were two conditions which came together. I modded a few things at my SystemUI.apk and got FC's after reboot and so on, solved it and left the phone alone. Just at this time (god knows why), Play Store updated itself, so I thought it was the cause for wakelocks - but it wasn't.

I rolled back to a CWM backup few days old, let Play Store update and discovered, that no battery drain appears.

The same curiosity was weeks ago, when I searched for the cause of wakelocking my RAZRi. After days I decided to factory reset and start anew. Seems, that if you'll play too much with your system and anything goes wrong (FC's especially with playing around with SystemUI.apk), some things may get corrupt in data.

So, the topic of this thread is solved :)
