Is anyone using this phone with AT&T?

Currently, the OnePlus 3 IMEI is not registering with AT&T as an LTE device. As a result, the phone only connects to H if the IMEI is updated on AT&T's end.

I am hoping this is not the case with this phone. I pick mine up from Best Buy tomorrow.

I had problems dropping all data connection. Called tech support did the usual reboot and all that crap. Then they manually updated my imie after explaining it was an unlocked device not purchased from them.

Looks like I'll play it safe and not say anything to AT&T then. Unfortunate they have to be so difficult when using unlocked devices.

I'm on At&t and have no problems with LTE.

When I'm at work, my signal bars only show 2 bars whereas before, I had full bars...But my speed is better in that same area. I realize At&t branded phones sometimes make it appear to be a stronger connection, so this is probably "actual" signal. At home, I normally only have 1-2 bars, I have a steady 2 bars and better reception - even in the back of my house, where I usually drop signal on most of my past phones.

Also, I never have any issues with At&t when I want to register a new IEMI on my account, even though it still shows I'm making payments on an HTC M9 I got about a year ago. I've had about 6 or 7 phones in that time, they haven't said anything yet.

I inserted the card when I received the device. I called them a couple days later after the dropping data connection issue.

Works perfectly for me, but I have a BYOD SIM, not a SIM taken from a contract phone. Put in my SIM before first boot of the phone. LTE immediately.

Thanks for your responses. I just got the phone this evening. Pulled the SIM from my OP3 and placed in the A7 prior to first boot. It immediately connected to LTE upon first boot.

However, once I rebooted my phone I lost connectivity to LTE. Only receiving "4G" now. What gives?? Have you all been able to maintain LTE connectivity across reboots?

Isn't 4G another name for LTE ?

Back in 2011-2012 in the US, AT&T and T-Mobile began marketing HSPA+ (which is technically a 3G technology) as "4G" in order to compete with carriers (Verizon, MetroPCS) that were rolling out actual LTE. They've both since rolled out LTE, marketed as "4G LTE", but keep referring to HSPA+ as "4G".

On AT&T, LTE persists after reboot for me.

I stopped by the ATT store this morning and had a new SIM provisioned. When they used the A7's IMEI, I didn't get any data service. I had them re-enter the IMEI from my Nexus 6 and the phone works perfectly fine now...even after reboots.
