If I am not mistaken the phone ships internationally on 14th October so I'm sure we'll just have to wait a while 
Got it today... What a beauty. But Miui really sucks, no Google Apps and many Settings and notifications are in chinese...

Maybe i'll give it a shot with porting Lineageos 15 on this one. The code for it is already on github.

You can load the Google Play store from the MIUI store.
You probably want to unlock and load on the Xiaomi.eu or EpicROM to have proper Google Play service integration.
But I would love LineageOS ported over.
Had mine for about 1 week now. Love it but really want lineage on here. Common devs. Help us out here. Got some donations I need to hand out after stable build release.
Why everyone is so addicted to lineageos? I love miui, fluid, no crashes, themes, constant updates
I have run Cyanogenmod and LineageOS on many devices, and has been a great experience. You get an almost stock experience with better configuration.
The Notifications on MIUI suck ass. WTF? Why are we still stuck with Lollipop style notifications? I do not have any other major gripe with MIUI (once I changed from that stock Launcher), but I cannot change the notifications.
True. Notifications are bad. Thats my only complain really.

maybe an issue withs gapps, I flashed the minis ones, I'm reflashing the rom with nano

Proximity sensor doesn't work. Otherwise I haven't found any major issues.
Of course, can't install or use many apps that require the phone not to be rooted. Even installing magisk, it fails SafetyNet. If anyone can find a way to make it not fail SafetyNet, please let me know. I need my fix of Mario.
