Have had my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 for one year with service through MVNO provider RedPocketMobile.com
Have often checked for updates, but phone remains stuck on Lollipop, Android 5.0 and never updates over the air or through wi-fi. Wondering how to update to Marshmallow and if being stuck with 5.0 is a security threat. Any ideas/suggestions? Here is the info my phone reports:
'Check for new system updates' reports "Your Samsung SM-G900V is up to date. No update is necessary at this time."
'System update history' reports "Software Version: G900VVRU2BOG5, Configuration Version: J13.SAM.SMG900V.1"
'Last System Update: No updates applied"
Other info reported:
Hardware version: G900V.05
Kernel version: 3.4.0 [email protected] #1 Fri Jul 31 11:35:22 KST 2015
Build Number: LRX21T.900VVRU2BOG5
Security Version Software: MDF v1.1 Release 4, VPN v 1.4 Release 4.1
Knox version : Knox 2.3
Thank you for your help!
