adb reboot download

fastboot oem lock
Lee,
I was too excited & made a mistake. I did not lock the bootloader first.
What I did was, I downloaded the file, renamed it, put it in the sdcard, connected it to the comp.
As soon as I typed adb reboot download, the phone asked me to press vol up to flash, down to cancel. I pressed Vol up & it's gone through the process successfully!!! Yay!

However, my bootloader indicate UNLOCKED.

Please advice.
Thanks

I am guessing that's problem solved? :)

Thanks very much buddy... looking forward to having you back on board once you get your replacement!
yeah, almost solved. Please hang in there with me.

EDIT: I pulled out the SDcard, boot it to download mode. fastboot oem lock & it's locked now!!!
Device State - RELOCKED (L)

Is this good enough? shouldn't it just say LOCKED instead?
Thanks Lee

the phone was connected to the comp the entire process. As I typed adb reboot download (so that I can lock the bootloader) the phone asked me Vol up to flash, Vol down to cancel.
I pressed Vol up to flash.
The phone is now back to original RUU. THANK YOU!!!
but the bootloader is still unlocked.

I boot to bootloader & it shows: DEVICE STATE - UNLOCKED (U)

how do I lock it & return it to completely stock please?
Thanks Lee
fastboot oem lock then flash the ruu again.

It may still show as relocked but that shouldn't be an issue.. you can only restore "LOCKED" when s-off

That should do it buddy...

In reality it shouldn't matter, they aren't allowed to re sell a device as new once the seal on the box is broken, it's classed as reconditioned.

I would probably give your SIM a try again before you return it, you never know lol

Oh man, you start to scare me now ... I put the sim in & it works!!!
Geez...Now i'm gonna stay up all night to unlock bootloader, root, put your rom back on & see if the phone works or still does not recognize the sim.

What if it will not recognize the sim again? What do you advice Lee?

Your going to need a full signed RUU zip matching your original firmware and CID buddy.

Based on your original build number its an Indian dual SIM device so here is the ruu:

https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634780026

1. Rename it to 2PZCIMG.zip
2. Lock your bootloader
3. Drop the zip on your external SD card.
3. Boot to download mode, at that point you will be prompted to flash... Accept... Profit.

If you don't have an external SD.

1. Lock your bootloader.
2. Boot to download mode.
3. Open a cmd window and run the below commands.

fastboot orm rebootRUU (hit enter)

fastboot flash zip (drag the zip into the cmd window then hit enter)
These steps really helped, almost feel like it should be stickied somewhere. fastboot flash didn't work (target size error) but renaming the zip and putting it on external SD worked first time round :)

Hi its worked!!
Just to update from my end,
I was on Viper ROM and wished to go back stock ROM but, I've tried many times it failed!!

Than i came to this website and see LeeDroid was guiding dysymbol, I've notice more people misunderstood some steps.
so i went to try myself and also failed couple of times, until i notice the software ver from in the "about/software information" (1.27.401.59) and from "download mode" (1.13.400.6) is different! i was always downloading the wrong ver which "1.27.401.59" then now i download ver "1.13.400.6" stock ROM and follow as below steps;
-> Rename it to 2PZCIMG.zip
-> save on your external SD card.
-> Boot to download mode.
-> Press UP Vol to start the process.
-> Lock your boot loader. (Fastboot oem)
-> Restart to recovery to wipe the phone & remove the "SD Card"
Everything works well and OTA update happens immediate!

Thank you all for unselfishness guide & sharing. :)
