Please help with s4 mini on sprint!! Cant update.

Awhile back i rooted my s4 mini on sprint Via, towelroot i believe, today i decided i wanted to start using it again and update it to kitkat. Im also on a mac computer and dont have access to a PC. I did a complete restore and to no avail it still says that it is modified and that i cant install update it says something along the lines of "cant install update on modified phone" what do i do?
