Yes you need to extract it from zip as it will not run from within zip folder
Personally I ran it just from the desktop, i.e. I put HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone.exe on my desktop
when you have your phone connected and in bootloader mode at the bottom on the screen it should say 'usb'.
then launch HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone.exe, follow steps, then your done.
As I said put phone back into bootloader mode afterwards and verify the screen shows 1.14.OliNex, which is the Hard-SPL version.
okay if it doesnt show 1.14.OliNex then i didnt do it right?
and can i brick my phone if i mess up a step?

oh and

1) make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC! if not, get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
2) if you have vista, WMDC update is recommended: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ce-center.mspx

do i have to have those?
and what are they?

and can i brick my phone if i mess up a step? if you follow steps you'll be fine like the thousands that have done it before you, but as always there is no guarantees

1) make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC. Yes install this
2) if you have vista, WMDC update is recommended. This is just used for syncing phone and can be found using google.

Best practice with new phones is to fully charge first.
Best to set up device before Hard SPL

okay so when i get my device
1.charge it all the way
2.set up the device.
3.turn it off
4.put it in bootloader mode
5.connect to computer
6.run HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone.exe

then i am done with hardspl?

and what does .NET framework do?
and why do i need to have that installed on my computer?

Once its finished your phone will automatically soft reset. You will be prompted to setup stylus & input date/time etc. Connections settings etc should setup automatically.

Then have fun with your new rom!!

Once rom has completely installed phone will automatically reset. You can take out usb anytime you want after that
You can install any apps you like which are compatible like s2u2.

I'll let you read up on that one. Can't spoon feed ya everything.

All I'll say is that Duttys is just a very common rom which is used a lot. Similarly Laurentius26 roms. Both use newer versions of manila and Rhodium.

Read up on them and especially read the wiki. Link provided below on signature
