Hey all.
I've bough recently a Cheap MHL for my S3.
It works but i have 2 issues...
On some TV's (all of them are 1080p capable) i get no sound but i can use external speakers so not a big issue, but the 2nd and the biggest issue is that the output resolution is [email protected] which makes the ui and gaming quite choppy and ugly...:/
Can the users that use the original MHL tell me if you're getting [email protected] or [email protected] please so i can buy the original one?
Thank you! :)

I have the original one and can play games, watch movies or anything without any problem. No choppy visuals.
I don't have any idea at what HZ it is playing.
And the sound plays through my tv.

I get sound with my original sammy mhl connector, but the big problem is, that the output is as you mentioned at 1080p30Hz
Totally crap, I dont have an idea what to do, already contacted sammy, the told either my phone or my connector is broken and I shall send it to their repair center (**** you sammy, I wont do this, cause I wont get my phone back :D)

To those who encountered problems with viewing HDMI movies with MHL connector, I regret to tell you that those MHL connector (v2.0 or before) originally works for S2, does not work for S3 due to change in pin layout.

At time of speaking, the only MHL connector that works well with S3 is the original MHL connector for S3 from Samsung(http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EIA2UHUNBEGSTA). I bought one at around US$35 and it works perfectly.

When you press info button on your tv,it'll say at what res is the input.
Most likely it'll be in that form [email protected]

I knew that, that's why i bought one that was listed in the accesories thread to be working.
Are you getting 60hz with your original MHL or 30?

30Hz but it is okay for me as I'm using plasma so I don't really notice the slow refresh. I think it is more apparent on LCD panel.
Agree...
Even though my led tv is from the good ones(bought it last year and wasn't cheap and it was samsung :p )
i get stuttering in some games, lets say for example fifa 12.
Anyway, looks like i'll get an official cable...:)

I'm sorry to inform you that mine getting 30Mhz at 1080p. The adapter was bought from original Samsung shop, and it was advertised to be able to reach [email protected], but I don't exactly know how.
Too bad....:(
The response i got from sammy was that to reach [email protected] you need to have the right content, whatever that means...:p
You at sammy mean that it'll automatically switch from [email protected] to [email protected] if i have the right content?Yeah...riight....
