pls help to unroot my OnePlus 3t

Hi my OnePlus 3t is currently on OOS 4.5.1 rooted nd twrp recovery.I want to unroot my phone and want stock recovery on my phone pls help me how to do it?

There are different methods involving in unrooting the device and plenty of guides available for us just look in the xda forums .

But here are unrooting steps .
If you are using magisk then open magisk manager and select the uninstall option .
If you are using the super su or similar rooting method you need to download the unroot zip for super su . Or follow this guide https://www.theandroidsoul.com/unroot-supersu-uninstallation-failed/
: in magisk manager uninstall it and check whether the safety net passes

In super su there is a option to permanently unroot the device try it if it fails use the unroot zip .


To flash the stock recovery go to http://downloads.oneplus.net/devices/oneplus-3t/
Or search in our device forums . Flash it from the twrp .

Don't try to unroot from stock recovery on Super su . It may sometime leads to boot loop or getting bricked . Even if it does bricked . Format the system and flash the stock os with the twrp use the full package which comes around 1 gb don't try to flash partial updates . Hope it helps .best of luck in unrooting

If you flash the stock OS (even through TWRP recovery), you will end up without any root and with stock recovery.

If you need to lock the bootloader, than you need to follow an extra procedure.

One thing more I wanna know with unlocked bootloader will I get regular ota updates?

If I remember correctly, you will get notifications, but you wont be able to flash them.
You will have to do the updates manually.

At least this happens for me, but I am also rooted with custom recovery.

I have a device on open beta 17. I read somewhere it might not be possible to use the same methods to unroot.
Can someone help me to do it ?
