Poco F1 Bootloader Unlock discussion

For those that managed to unlock, does it wipe data?

Yes, it does a factory reset after unlocking bootloader. So backup your data first, if any. I unlocked yesterday and my data got wiped.


For everyone who have unlocked your bootloader, can you check if your GPS is working fine because I'm unable to play Pokemon GO and also OLA can't predict my location. Google map also can't locate me.

GPS is on high accuracy, location history ON. Location access granted to these apps. Tried rebooting. Still no luck.

Help please!!

Don't know why, but GPS started working just now.

Unlocked the bootloader now. Didnt get any warning message. GPS too seems to be working fine.

Successfully unlocked from 704 hours to immediately after they charged policy. GPS working as expected.

MI unlock tool doesn't detect Poco

MI Unlock tool doesn't recognize my Poco Device

MI unlock tool versions tried "2.3.803.10" and "3.3.525.23", It's showing "not connected to the phone" all the time

Enabled OEM unlock,
Enabled USB debugging,
Logged into MI Unlock tool
Booted to fastboot screen

But the MI unlock tool doesn't detect the device.

I've installed usb-drivers, ADB drivers, Qualcomm drivers.. Tried on 2 different computers.. Still no use.

What might be the issue here? What I'm doing wrong? Please help!

Yes I'm in fastboot mode, but once I connect the cable to the PC mobile says press any key to shutdown. Fastboot rabbit logo doesn't stays.

Hi, which version? I used miflash_unlock-en-3.3.827.31, it's my 3rd Xiaomi device and I have to wait 72 hours, actually 56 hours left.
I can confirm Ryzen (1600X) fastboot / unlock issues, strange.

Had to use Windows 10. Now I'm able to connect the device, but still 47 hrs left to unlock.

Not any fastboot issues on Core i5 laptop but on Ryzen it's a different story. I hope Xiaomi's gonna fix it cause I think that's what ruined the Mi A2 I received earlier.

I used version: 2.2.406.5, see screenshot.
Worked like a charm.
specs: poco F1 6gb/128gb
pc: win 7 64bit, i7 4790k (not sure if that really matters though)

Suppose i relock the unlocked bootloader....
Q1 How will i be able to reunlock it?
Q2 Will it again wipe data, internal storage as it did at first?

1. u reunlock in the same way as u did earlier.. waiting period will come again..

2. Yes it will wipe data, internal storage again everytime you lock or unlock
