where do you go to check if you phone is added in mi account ?. you meant mi cloud , because i already link my number and all that into cloud or the mi account Id you're talking about

As the last resort, try reinstalling the drivers on your pc or try with another pc.
god dammit finally got it to unlocked ! use the older version of the miunlock. i'll post it here incase someone have a problem like i do . i successfully unlock it on first try http://miuirom.xiaomi.com/rom/u265827351/2.3.803.10/miflash_unlock-en-2.3.803.10.zip

Got my Poco F1 (6 GB RAM and 64GB storage) unlocked.
Running Global Stable 10.0.6 using miflash unlock tool English ver.3.3.827.31 and using a WIN 10 Laptop.
Had to wait for 72 hours and then it unlocked at the first attempt. The phone was factory reset with data and internal storage wiped (as expected).

After unlock and relock the bootloader, can i receive OTA in the future ?
Yes, it does not affect how the ota works. If i remember correctly, there's also a custom recovery that supports ota updates.

Still at 72 hrs and for some even less (don't know why).
i just did bootloader unlocking procces 10 mins ago... i got about 67 hours waiting time .
Can't choose yes or no right now , just bought the pone few hours ago for 298$ 128GB still setting things up.

If you want to unlock bootloader on the F1, you make a request to Xiaomi and then wait for upto 72 hours for your request to be approved.
Search and read about how to do it if you want to unlock the bootloader.
