I don't think it's GG3 as I have used GG3 on MI A1 and Nokia 7 plus without any screen protector and didn't get a single scratch. But on Poco F1, I already got 2 scratches. Not only me, but a lot of people have reported that the glass on Poco F1 is very scratch prone. I know I can avoid the scratches by using a tempered glass. But I don't like using another layer of plastic sheet on the screen that affects the touch response and reduce the vividity of the screen.
Agree, i have older phone that i use for year without scratch but i have it on my poco in 3 months.

Scratch happen due to tiny dust particles not because of key or knife which youtuber shows because iron and other metals have hardness lower than Gorilla Glass which is 6 but dust particles has hardness of 9 so they will easily scratch any kind of Gorilla Glass whether it's GG6 or GG3. Only sapphire glass has hardness equal to dust particles that is 9. That's why they are used in expensive watches but it is too expensive even apple doesn't use it except on camera lenses. For proof you can watch "Jerry rig everything's" video on poco f1 where he scratches its screen with different grades of hardened materials it gets scratched on level 6 like every other smartphone (even note 9, Apple 10s also gets scratched on level 6). The one who has greater hardness than other will scratch it. Hardness is measured on scale of 1 to 9 where 9 is the hardest material on earth which is Dimond. This is why Dimond is very difficult to cut but it can cut everything. Iron has greater hardness than wood that's why it is able to cut it.

So if there's any dust particle on your screen and you just slides your fingers on it or just rubs your screen against anything like in pocket then it's done. They are so tiny that you can't even notice them. They are everywhere in your pocket, on your fingers everywhere.

The deference between GG3 and GG6 is of only thickness. GG3 is two times thicker than GG6. You can experience this by looking at your screen, you will notice that screen is not touching the glass and there is slight gap between glass and screen because glass has some thickness but if you have ever used GG6 glass phone then you will feel like you are just touching and typing on the screen itself (which feels amazing, like in Samsung Galaxy s9 or note 9) there is no difference between screen and glass, It's that thin but also having same hardness and strength as GG3.

If you hate tempered glass like me but also don't want scratches at the same time then you can use film like screen guards. They don't add any thickness plus doesn't reduce any touch response and don't get bubbles on edges. They are also very clear, you will forget that you have any kind of screen guard on. Here is the link of clear screen guard that I'm using its one of the best film type screen guard available bit expensive but worth it. You can search on youtube "ringke dual easy" to learn how to apply it cause it has four layer and bit tricky. It is self dust removing type of screen guard. If you get bubbles after applying it then don't worry they will vanish after 2 or 3 days. Trust me I'm not promoting anything I'm using this product. There are two screen guard in ane pack. Hope i helped you.

Hey, thanks for your valuable input. I really appreciate that you took your time to share your opinion. I wish I had seen this screen guard before getting the scratch. I have already got a tiny but quite deep scratch and the display became a bit pixelated on that particular area due to the scratch. Now, even if I spend 999 bucks, I will still lament for that scratch. So, I would better save the money for future. Anyway, I hardly use one smartphone for more than a year. I have already changed three devices in this year. So, chances are I will change it again in a few months. So, I would buy the screen guard before buying the device and install it immediately after opening it from the box.

Just one suggestion from my side whenever you buy any device in future, buy it under "guarantee buy back protection" option. By this you can sell your device to Flipkart within one year and can get 70% money in return and with that money and adding just 5k to 8k you can again purchase a decent device upto 20k (like poco f2 in future).

Will it still be applicable if the device gets scratch or something like that? Or will they reduce the price?

Agreed but even flipkart has lots of terms and conditions regarding that, one i remembered is its upto the seller and not all seller support it or not every seller will provide the guaranteed value. Still i feel paying Rs.150 extra is worth if you are sure to upgrade to poco itself as of upgrading to other phone won't guarantee it.
Also for 128GB Armoured edition has not such option as of now.

Hey, the same thing happened to me, It's just a month I bought this phone, but yesterday got a scratch on it! I was pretty sure I read that poco f1 has corning gorilla glass. But seeing the scratch I was shocked. Because I never used a screen protector when I knew that the phone has Gorilla glass. If they have not used gorilla glass, they should at least specify the same, so that people will be more careful and at least use a screen protector. Is there any way that this can be covered under warranty since Gorilla glass claims to be scratch resistant?

lol i dont know how i ended up reading this thread but. afaik gg5 sacrifices scratch resistance for drop withstanding. afaik gg3 has better scratch protection than gg5. however i too have read its more likely to be gg3.

i think poco use the latest iteration of gg if its easily scratched. my pixel 2 got hairline scratch in a week of use, while my nexus 5x remain flawless for over 3 month without TGSP, until i decided to put TGSP on it.
