I have download 8.9.18 ota.
Cant verfy update, because is beta testing, make sure you have signed in with beta authorized xiaomi account
Because that is closed beta and only authorized beta team members are allowed to access it. Not sure why they allowed regular users to download it but you'll need to flash it in TWRP if you wanna use it

hi,, good morning,, I'm from the Philippines,, recently,, i flashedmy phone with miui 10 beta 8.9.13.. using system app updater .. then after that, i decided to unlock its BL,, and flash a new TWRP recovery Via fastboot,,
my question is,, after i downloaded the latest MIUI 10 beta 8.9.18,, how will i install this rom??
will it be via twrp recovery?? or the normal system app updater ,, copying the rom to downloaded_rom folder???

a bit confused eh,, ... thansk

and one more thing..
if its via TWRP.. do i need to wipe data and do a pristine flasshing?? or i can just flash it without wiping anything????

8.19.18 is closed beta. If you are not an authorized beta tester, you cannot flash it via updater you'll need TWRP.

Updates can be flashed via TWRP without wipes but only if you are not encrypted

how did you manually searched for 9.6.18 update?
I just opened settings/about phone/system update and my phone showed me the update.
Downloaded and system installed by itself after asking permission to reboot.

I beg to differ. Afaik I am not a beta tester, never received any pm on miui forum confirming enrolment.
1. Just checked settings/about phone/system update and could see the update and download.
2. Doesn't need twrp it's like any other regular ota uodate, just asked permission to reboot for installing update and updated itself

Full Updates can be flashed with twrp and encryption.

You just can't access internal storage of its encrypted.
Usb otb and adb sideload both work well

1)Yes, as you are using customs recovery
2)Not really sure but its the best to flash it everytime

That's very strange, I updated a few hours back but distinctly remember update being 250 odd MB but urs is 270noff MB.
I update from 8.9.18 and beta tester, is thta why?
I'm coming from 8.9.13 as I didn't get the 8.9.18.
So it might be different.
