Very slow speeds for one. Previously choosing a different server used to help or using a VPN but even that doesn't seem to work as well off late.What happened?

Well I guess it depends the country. I usually get good speeds.
At least it doesn't delete files like Android File Host, which I had some old files for a legacy device Samsung Galaxy S4 and got deleted because of low population downloads.
I only get normal speed after midnight till morning (When they have low server load in my area/country). Every other time, I get less than 500 KBps. Mostly below 200 KBps. No matter what server I select, it's always been slow.What happened?

A quick mention about ProtonAOSP by @REIGNZ3:
You can translate the ROM to your native language by translating the strings (the sentences inside > <) from the xml files (unzip) I attached below. Greek and Polish are already translated and will be included in next update. If you translate the files, include them in one zip and upload them here, mention your language, and I will forward to REIGNZ.
Btw ProtonAOSP 12.2.0 is up.

Also, is the Poco OS any good to use?
I have some issues with PE and PE+
I feel that MIUI handles the battery way better, the haptics are more pronounced
The pairing with Bluetooth headsets always gives me better volume and more clarity

Try crDroid. So good that I have almost exclusively used it for close to 2.5 years. Your views about MIUI are quite surprising w.r.t. battery life. Users reported 6-7 hr SoT when in crDroid and probably other custom ROMs 12+ hours was easy. Even now with a degraded battery no issue getting close to 10 hours. I have a very low opinion of MIUI anyway.
Sounds good, can you say more about your experience? any noticeable differences or shortcomings? how is the connection\ lte+3g, how is connection with Bluetooth devices volume

I can't say about any differences or shortcomings w.r.t. MIUI as I have used it for a few minutes at most. Even that was too much! My nos. are always on 4G VoLTE. Coverage is excellent in my locality. In all my Xiaomi devices I ditch MIUI at the first possible opportunity. There's no difference in network strength, stability or whatever. MIUI overstates the network strength in the Statusbar indicator. Look under About Phone for actual strength in dBm (less is better).
In my other devices I had to switch between ROMs on a fairly consistent basis before settling down with the one that was best according to my needs but in F1 it was crDroid all the way.
No issues with volume or stability in my Oneplus Bullets Wireless Z. I only use it for calls. 60% volume is more than sufficient.
You can try with Terminal Debloater module or App Manager https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/AppManager
The latter worked when nothing else did in A11. There's also one that works via ADB? but it requires a Linux environment.

Note about Pixel Experience A12*: Please check the Flashing Instructions here. Clean Install + Format Data required. Do not flash any DFE or Encrypt zip. Since TWRP doesn't support decryption for A12 Encrypted ROMs for now and the ROM comes encrypted by default, so in order to make OTA updates happen, the ROM will replace the TWRP with PE Recovery after flashing, which can handle the decryption of the ROM. This is a workaround until the TWRP fix the decryption issue. If you want to switch ROM simply flash TWRP again via ADB.
Note: Eventually awards from A11 ROMs will be removed due updates stopping and the focus of development is now on A12.

or is it for newer AMD64 processors?
I am on 9th gen desktop intel processor and this script is needed on my machine. I think it's for newer AMD64 processors.

Usually Intel cpu's works without this script. (I have tested on my brother PC who has intel and was working)
If it's needed on intel too, I can change the name and the guide.
Please, more Intel users confirm this.

It's not full of bugs. It has some minors here and there (I've made a buglist in crDroid thread - every ROM has btw) which is ok for all these customizations but nothing affects the daily use or the stability and can be considered the most well around ROM atm, which can cover every taste and also every of my standards (you can find the critiria in notes at ROMs section) to rate it on top.
Also it has the best pannding/calibration in status bar icons space
P.S: Some reports on telegram are not confirmed or the fault is not on the ROM side. If there is a specific bug, let me know so I can include it in my buglist.
BTW other awarded ROMs are not bad or something but some of critiria may missing like encryption by default and translation in Awaken or in Official LineageOS Safetynet is not passing by default either not Unlimited Gphotos which some users may need etc. In the end one ROM has to be on top and other below. My personal choice is crDroid on top atm, for the reasons I explained.433
You should use DFE then if you want to keep TWRP. And always flash ROM updates manually and always along with DFE.
TWRP can't decrypt A12 encrypted ROMs yet that's why u need to use crDroid recovery for example if you want to be encrypted and use the OTA updater. -
